I find it very hard to Faro cards unless they have been very well broken-in -- a process which seems to take days. I've got a Lo Scarabeo deck that I've been working on for the better part of a week and they still don't Faro. :(

Watched 5 or 6 tutorials on the finger spring & yours was the easiest to learn from. Now all I have to do is pick up all of the cards I sprayed around me. Thanks for sharing!

If you mess up several times at the end (the flip was awful) how are we expected to learn?
@justinx2568 күн бұрын
Well your throwing the equivalent to a credit/debit/gift card which isn’t quite the same as throwing a playing card. Your literally throwing a throwing card, not a playing card lol

I have been mastering this for all of ten minutes and I have a tip (but correct me if I am wrong). I think if it feels like you are doing it right but it doesn't look very pronounced you should try moving the pen closer to the tip of your fingers for the animation.

Been doing this since learning it from Expert Card Technique as s teenager. It's even more effective from the front, because your hands provide shade for the jogged packets. I got a bit obsessed with making the jogs smaller and smaller, but it's actually better to just do it sloppily. Do a push-through riffle shuffle first, stripping the cards with exactly the same motion as the cut sequence, and perhaps a false in-the-hands riffle shuffle including a bridge - so everyone sees the cards going together - and that's about as good as it gets. I don't even bother trying to control a slug these days, because preserving the full order every time is easy enough with practice. The magician and card mechanic, Daniel Madison, said in one of his videos that he always keeps the full order of the deck regardless of whether he needs to do so.
