This is a really good movie. It is low budget. It does not have much in the way of special effects but still a very sweet story. Gavin Casalegno plays Gabriel. An angel sent by God to a small dying down that has fallen into a deep depression.

Ah, young Brie. She was very cute but less confident I guess and much shyer. I recently heard that she and the crew or at least cast of Short Term 12 had to take the lunch with them because they were to broke to effort food. I'm glad that Brie got so far in such a short time after Short Term 12 basically was her audition for Room and then she got Kong: Skull Island, meeting two Marvel actors. It's interesting that Brie got the role in and shot Kong: Skull Island before getting her Oscar and she even had to take a tiny break from shooting to go to the Oscars and then going straight back to shooting. I had been under the impression that Brie got on Kong because of her Oscar win. No, she shot Room end of 2014. It was released a year later end of 2015. She shot Kong: Skull Island end of 2015 to ~March 2016, and got her Oscar in February 2016. During that time she auditioned for some superhero roles. Marvel got interested in her playing Captain Marvel but Brie rejected the role twice because she was afraid of the fame and the pressure and what it would do to her life. Fortunately she said yes and then Brie was presetend as Captain Marvel in like June/July 2016 at the San Diego Comic Con (wow, my brain is surprising me, how well I can remember Brie facts 😂). But the Captain Marvel movie came out in 2019, 3 years later. And the second part The Marvels will be released in a few months, 4,5 years after CM. We got Corona to blame. Brie's career is super impressive! Not every actor who wins an Oscar will stay relevant for the next 10 years. Brie got commercial deals, got on Fast X, is in a miniseries, still is Captain Marvel and she directed her own movie. She is very smart with what she plays, she likes doing one thing at a time and she doesn't seem to be doing as much as possible. She finally has money and despite all the negativity surrounding her, she's doing great. She's super lovely and fantastic. It's amazing that I re-discovered through this year's Super Bowl commercial when I really loved Room back in 2017 but never bothered to watch any interview of her. Now I know how fantastic Brie is and that I really love watching her in anythign she does. ❤

Her mom was on the set but never watched Jane do her scenes nor did she make any suggestions to the director or ask for changes in the script. Her dad got a job as a furniture salesman and her mom negotiated Jane's contracts with the studios and stage companies. Jane's earnings were invested in annuities and other financial investments. When she turned 21 her parents signed over the house and the investment portfolios. It gave Jane the financial independence to never have to work again though she did. Her earnings from her "Josephine the Plumber" commercials were used to put her 5 children through college. In short, she was a level headed child star who lived a modest life compared to a lot of celebrities of the Hollywood era.
