Hi Jason, awsome setup. By the way, I noticed that you never use wash moving heads. Always spots or beams, could you explain why you did this choice, please ?
@jonathanberube5056
@jonathanberube5056 4 күн бұрын
JJ used to use Chauvet Hybrid 140, which look like a spot, but are actually a spot/wash/beam combo light. The newer Maverick Force S movers he uses are the same concept but LED and brighter.

I use fixtures that have wash functionality, and I do use wash effects at times. Years ago I would use washes breaking up my looks, but my shows have evovled a ton. I alsocurrently use the Rogue rx2 as well. I typically use the Chauvet Force S Spots and they are way beyond what moving head fixtures 99% of the dj community uses on events.

@@Jason_Jani bet you it kicks ass. 15 inch subs are nice for portability and have a perfect sweet spot. I love RCF don’t get it twisted but I’d bet my DV12 & BB15 combo would surprise you. I’ve told you before if you ever found the time and wanted to run tests I’d have no problem coming to you. I normally work out of Mahwah. You’re an absolute goat of our industry. Thanks for all you do big man 👍🏻🙏🏻

@@DJBrianRodriguesI actually have had both the TT setup and BB15/Dv12 (TT10mk2 though). Kept the TT system. IMO the BB15 sub hit just super small amount lower than the TT15s but they were both had the same volume. The TT tops were a bit clearer and warmer sounding than the DV (crossed at 100). The biggest thing to me was the astetics because the DV tops are just ugly. The TT looks classier for high end weddings.

@@jonathanberube5056 I do agree they have a weird look. It took a while to get used to It but has grown on me. The DV12 and SSP118 for me is perfect. Sound is always subjective of coarse. I like the way the DV12 are eq.

Yes Sir - these traits are valuable not only as a DJ but in any profession or even job! Exceeding expectations carries a lot of weight & referrals are the best advertisements. An excellent book "Become The Exception" by Mike Marchev gives a lot of insight on being great. Had the pleasure of meeting him back in my travel agent days. All the best to you & yours Jason!!

Hey Jason, do you still hold the same opinion on the RCF Evox 12 speakers? Have you got a chance to hear them in comparison to the LD SYSTEMS Maui 44G2? There are so many mixed reviews, and coming from the EV EVOLVE 50 speakers, I had to sell them because of the lack of head room and lack of bass sound from the subs. 120° dispersion was my concern and always towed the speakers outward to eliminate the amount of loud in your face sound behind the booth. Love your content. You Rock!!!

im an electrician. this is definitely good information. the only thing i would like to add is that there are times where that 20 amp circuit has other things on it. sometimes there is a 20 amp receptacle on the wall, but there are other things on that same circuit. for example, a fridge or freezer could be on that same circuit. now the fridge may not pull a lot of power, but what it could do is send unwanted hum into your speakers. depending on the type of event, it may not matter much, but it could. also, use your judgement. if the venue seems a little sketchy, look at the switches and receptacles. if the screws are vertical, you can relax, because a professional most likely touched it, if theyre just tight, and the screws arent in any particular direction, be a little cautious, because a professional definitely didnt touch it, or someone else came in behind the professional. it doesnt necessarily mean its wrong, but if the venue is penny pinching cheap, i would just keep an eye on it, as you cant tell who touched it and why. the painter couldve removed the covers to paint the room, or someone replaced it. ideally with the same type of receptacle, but theres nothing stopping anyone from putting a 20 amp receptacle on a 15 amp circuit except for ink in a book. either way, dont put exactly 20 amps on a 20 amp circuit, especially if your equipment is going to be running at peak power for more than a few hours, because circuit breakers trip on overload and heat.

We went to battery powered lights to help with this. Especially at some of these older venues that are coverted from churches and such. Many times we find that an entire wall of outlets are ran on one circuit. ( thank god we have a circut buddy in our gear)
