Bollocks. An actor shouldn't be thinking about lighting. That's just vanity. Concentrate on being the character and making your lines believable. Let the technicians worry about the light. That's their job.

This is great! We recently completed a short film that showcases the “Blade Runner” effect. We have a clip on our channel! Eye light is definitely important and easy to overlook for indies. I feel like what y’all are doing is something the indie world needs!

Glad we could help! That was a huge bummer for me when I had to remove all my grain from footage so it can live on YT. Also, if you're shooting low light and your shortage is grainy (but you still like it), this could have the same effect.

Hey! Great episode, subscribed! My only critique is you should've had a COLORIST on the episode! (I'm a colorist and a little biased) This comment is going to sound like a shameless plug but its funny, I just created a video on my channel about common things filmmakers do in the grade in regards to color grading and you mention a few of those things. (its called Lazy vs Pro Grading) you should def check it out! ) Also, if you want a great inexpensive place for DCPs, check out Post Oak DCP in NYC. Again, sorry if I sound like a salesman, but I work mainly with Indie filmmakers and just trying to help out!
