love the show... the theme tune so nostalgic to me now especially the line " Drinking fresh mango juice" it should of been Eating warm Gazpacho Soup .. though .... used to watch the show after swimming class hell I still watch it it never gets old no matter how many times u watch its just one of the shows you can watch over and over again got all 12 seasons and the TV movie "The promised Land" On Digital and incase the internet goes down on DVD too lol

I'm a huge Star Trek Fan ...and I like Star Wars. Dr Who has the BEST Science Fiction theme song. Bar none. Its like when you have something iconic it doesn't need to change ..just needs to evolve a bit over time. That's where they went wrong with Superman. John Williams theme is THE Superman theme. It's perfect.

Red dwarf is one of those Sci Fi shows that can’t go bad.

I know I'm a party pooper here but I cannot quite believe how bad it's become now. It's SO undefined when all it needs is bass and lead, with a few sfx. Murray Gold just clutters his entire mix with stuff and super-imposes Delia's VCO over them all. And the less John Denby's version is remembered, the better. Delia, forgive us darling. Bastardized your masterpiece almost 10 times over.

I kind of have this headcanon that when making the series 8 theme, Murray made the middle 8 hit hard just to mock Band Aid but then he inserted the screaming melody just to create a version that he would personally dislike

Akinola's theme is underated due to the unsuccessful time of Chibnell but I believe his is really the final form for the vision of Derbyshire's theme with modern graphics and sound tech.

I used to think this when i was 5 😭 now i know even Murray Gold thought it

Listening to this, I suddenly wondered if it might be possible to fuse the Doctor Who theme with One Piece's Drums of Liberation theme. Considering the latter is almost pure percussion, it would just depend on the meter. Part of why is because both The Doctor and Luffy tend to just show up somewhere, make friends, and then solve whatever problem the new friend is having before heading off again.
