Hello, if you come at this problem from the perspective of "increasing yield" rather than destroying the natural world it's going to be promoting the continuing destruction of rainforests. The "increasing yield" or productivity argument is faulty because if global commercial biofuel and FMCG sectors need an ever-increasing amount of palm oil each year, inevitably this leads to more ecocide and destruction. The greater yield and productivity argument is the main argument put forth by the palm oil industry to justify its ongoing ecocide. The latest developments in biotechnology mean that it's possible to create palm oil or soy alternatives in a lab that are healthier for human consumption and made from algae, Co2 and microbes instead of razed rainforests. You should be promoting this - NOT the industry line. You can find out more about this by looking up 'Reasons for Hope' article on my website.

Amazing presentation, a huge thank you to the page to make knowledge open! I have a brief question. It is no clear to me how the pigments like chorophyll a, b or betacarotenos interact with photorrectors. The pigments transfer the electrons to the photorreceptors?, or they are a one-structure that works harvesting light?. It does not make sense in my mind how this all is working in the cell at the same time. If you have time, I would be so greatful to receive your answer

Your video has resonated with me on a deep level. What specific aspects of plant evolution and diversity does Meng Lu's research focus on, and how does it contribute to our understanding of natural hybridization? As someone who operates a dream interpretation channel, I'm interested in incorporating diverse scientific topics into my content. I appreciate the depth of information provided in the video and have already liked and subscribed to the channel for more enlightening interviews.

Climate change is certainly TAXing! Economic research has shown that the cost of inaction on climate change could cost the global economy £143 TRILLION by 2070. So it makes sense to start investing in for a better future now.

One of our golf course greenkeeper customer stated that our nano-silica based fertilizer is preventing earthworms from coming to the surface and therefore he is seeing 100% reduction in worm castings which is a big problem for golf course managers. Is there a way this can be proved in a lab.
@GPSEP
@GPSEP Жыл бұрын
Interesting as worms are crucial decomposers and vital for healthy soil. Their casts are also really high in nutrients & some companies even collec the casts & sell it as eco-fertiliser. However, in terms of managing an unnatural space like a pristine monocultured grass lawn of only one species, the casts can get trodden in damaging the grass while the highly nutritious casts promote the growth of other plants when seeds land on them. It would appear that soils with a high silicon content are harder for worms to pass thus reducing the casts they make it the surface. Check out this video from Charlie Clutterbuck on how decomposers are essential for good plant health: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/r9-orciTmpy3f6s.html
