Yirmisekiz Mehmed Çelebi Efendi (ca. 1670-1732), also Mehmed Efendi (sometimes spelled Mehemet Effendi in France), was an Ottoman statesman who was delegated as ambassador by the Sultan Ahmed III to Louis XV's France in 1720. He is remembered for his account of his embassy mission (a sefâretnâme, "book of embassy"). It is a really interesting work. During this official visit the King of France was only 10 years old. The comments of the ambassador of Ottoman Empire about the king and their second meeting is very entertaining.

What an amazing man to have by your side. Boy what I would give to have a powerful man like this that honors and respects me as a woman and visa versa. This is the type of man that would inspire me to fly if I could. You can’t fail in life with a husband like this by your side.

Per tutti coloro che parlano di genocidio ricordo due cose: le popolazioni precolombiane facevano molti sacrifici umani, di bambini e c erano guerre anche prima dell arrivo degli spagnol come risulta da ritrovamenti archeologici.

I could never watch it because of the costuming. Terrible
I remember reading about this ritual in regards to king Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. I couldn’t help but feel bad for them especially Marie who was never expected to become queen and was thrust into this world at the age of 14. They spent everyday completely surrounded by nobles with no privacy whatsoever. Even their most intimate moments were watched, everyone was desperate to get to watch those as that meant you held more influence within the court. The nobles would have been very unhappy if they were ever thrown out and asked for privacy.

Why didn’t they kill her off. I really hate Ada, and love Agnes. She is the only sensible one. Marian is an ungrateful twit. I was hoping Ada and that pastor would ride off and Marian married that cousin and we can get new good characters. Ones with actual struggles. Love the Russell’s, but Peggy’s story lines seem to be so contrived.

Zamor as an adult, during the French Revolution, turned on du Barry and effectively sent her to the guillotine. She found out he was pro-Revolution and dismissed him. Not sure if the situation was avoidable. Certainly he was an unfortunate victim of the culture of the time, and essentially so was she. Nobody won.

I loved this scene. He crossing his eyes my guess was ad lib which was so hilarious. I saw the whole movie. No complaints. Not like that turkey in restless dreams crap
