Hello, Very heplful video Did you only connect the +tive output from the converter to the screen fuse, and the negative output of the converter to a ground on the motherboad. Or did you isolate the screen power completely and run both positive and negative from the converter to the screen. Ta Jim Hallett

Hello sir I have a hp pavilion laptop When i turn the power button on the capslock first blink 3 times slow and then 2 time faster Also i tried to replace ram and removing battery but it didn't work for me. What are your thoughts on that what could be the problem?

I have the same issue. Without RAM it beeps, and with RAM it doesn't boot, just keeps restarting. Tried different PSU, CPU, RAM and disconnecting all non-essential components. Tried adding a discrete GPU too, same result. So far I've reprogrammed the smaller chip, but that didn't solve it. Are both BIOS chips necessary? Getting the bigger one off the board might be difficult for me, and I don't have a clamp for that size.

Do u maybe sell the original gpu card of this laptop? In case it works.

I have similar issue with R556L. On the battery blue sceen after 1-2minutes. I've bought new battery, and the same resoults. Battery is charging, I can leave laptop on battery in bios settings and it will can work hour like that, but on windows there is blue screen. Newest bios, new hard drive, fresh windows, no drivers, or with drivers, - still no changes. Blue screen on battery with information that gereral issue occur (no specific driver is pointed or code). I will check your sugestion, that only when battery is low -you had filckering. I thik it can be the issue with Super I/O or with charger ic, or there is a semi-shorted component on the board, or the issue is with uma (integrated graphics) or with discreete (nvidia graphics) I have boardview and schematic so I will start to didding and I will do an update here later.

Hello, I have an Acer V3-771G with no image. I tried the display with another board from a similar laptop, it worked. Then I've swapped the Bios chip from that other board. Unfortunately it didn't work. The display remains black. Can it work, to swap the Bios Chip from a similar laptop? (The two boards have the same Rev. Number, yet they are not identical. One has 2 the other has 4 Ram slots. Also the soldered GPU is not exactly the same.

hi!, you can use this "method" only for uncrypted DMi areas... on Lenovo bios there is a protected area (LENV) that is storing DMI information (like the windows serial) ... in this case the job can't be done with an HEX viewer, i wrote a small utility to de-crypt that is called BIOSdump2license

Hello, Can you please tell me what menu appears when you press the Novo button (OneKey Recovery button) on a *functional* laptop? Does it have the Normal Startup option? Reason: My Lenovo U330p's power button has become prone to getting stuck pressed. I am considering switching to the Novo button for normal startup instead, but as far as I know, not all models have the Normal Startup option in the menu.
