My back wheel sensor rusted and everything around it. What can I do? The shop is a afraid to take it apart thing might break and it would open up more problems. What can I do?

Rheem COMPLETELY SUCKS! Never buy a Rheem! They screwd me. I had a water heater 50 gal that began to leak BEFORE the 6 year warranty was out. They told me no worries you got a 90 day grace period after the 6 years. I get a return authorization & code after the 6 years but only 49 days out. Once at Home Depot Rheem changed there mind and refused to honor what they told me. Even with ALL my documentation, names phone numbers, authorization code, receipt ect. NO water heater should leak in less then 6 years. No respectful business would screw customers so joyfully.

You did good buddy. I know the feeling it just has to be difficult for you. How about God is going to help me do this. The wishbone would not let loose. Making i me crazy. I had to beat on the top of the assembly where it bolts into the shock. Then I had to grind the edge where I hammered because the metal deformed in the way of getting it back in. It should not be that hard and a puller would not fit in there. We sure know how to have fun.

You didn't show the most important part...putting the hitch on the car. Seems like the hardware that goes through the subframe will easily get pushed back into the subframe and cause much anguish. Also if you spray the rubber muffler hangers with wd-40 they'll slip off a lot easier.

"4 Bad Water Heaters In A Row..." That's funny because I had 3 calls over the past 6 months to service these water heaters. All 3 were less than 10 years old and all 3 had the same issue: Water leaking from that cheap plastic drain valve.

For folks in this situation. All you need to do is get a good Sawzall blade and put a notch in the spud. How do I explain this,,,,, --- basically you run the blade, tip of the blade will be facing INTO that hole in the radiator where the spud lives. You then cut thru the brass spud JUST until you get thru the spud and to the point of the cast iron threads, then STOP... Make a few cuts like this and then take a cold chisel and split the spud. It will fall right out. MOST plumbers dont even put a wrench on the spud. They just cut it and split it then remove it.

No more Rheem water heaters for me! I've had 5 Rheem water heaters break down on me in the past 12 months in our 15 apartment units. Rheem customer service is HORRIBLE! They will try to wiggle out of the warranty as many times as they can and sell you expensive parts for the water heaters. I've already replaced 4 of the water heaters with Bradford White. NEVER buying Rheem products again!

Even though it pushed the tape out I bet it was still sealed. I've been using blue monster for years with pipe dope. Everything water I use both. Even with bad threads I almost never have leaks using both

Happy Trails! I've had the YUME version of your scooter and recently moved up to the next version with the Sine wave controller. Very cool toys! If there's anyway you can add a steering damper to yours, do it. The handling is 100% better on the road at higher speeds. Not as shaky or scary. Also avoid water unless you open up the battery container and REALLY waterproof it. I ended up eating two motor controllers because moisture got in there and melted the cheap chinese soldering job they did. If I had stayed out of puddles and rain, they would have lasted forever. Yes, I too feel your pain. Installed a brand new Rheem electric WH for a widow lady and her 2 children that had been without hot water for 8 days (couldn't afford to buy one). Our church group reached out and I purchased and installed a new Rheem WH but it would not heat due to an incorrect "module" that was installed at the factory (per Rheem Customer Service). Rheem wanted to send out a new module which would take 4 -5 days and then ONLY a licensed plumber could install it. Took it back to Home Depot and went to Lowe's and purchased a brand new A. O. Smith WH and it worked straight away. No more Home Depot water heaters, and especially NO MORE Rheem water heaters.

I did Swift fz a little different. Wheel speed sensor came out easy. Removed the rotor just to make things easier. Undid Hub attached to strut only , 2 bolts only.. that hub then flops, and the axle comes out from hub. Yep, i found they pulled apart,suzuki inner cv's pull apart easy, annoyed me with two stuck ends.. yeah the transmission drips out from the axle hole for the one that goes into the transmission..

Air purge out of the gas line must be done first, Rheem water heaters pinched pilot line perfectly fine and it done by design. We installed over 80 Rheem Performance last year from HD, only two was defective (crashed during shipment)

Hmmm I think I know what might have gone wrong, it appears all the expensive tapes in $4/unit including blue (actually it's cheaper than HF 10 rolls lol) do not bunch up easily but they also don't stick easily either. Later is what I think you've experienced with. Since you're doping, just 3 wrap is good enough. This thing is too beasty, you don't need to go 5x rounds. Try this, (1) put on a small dope just a real tiny drop, the purpose here is to encourage tape to stick and stay (2) wrap 3 round CW make sure it's tight if they move around it's no good #2 didn't do the trick then finally (3) dope again like you just did here.

It might be the threads on your nipple ?. Its happened to me before where it turned out to be the pipe threads.

With that dust you can clearly see the gaps you should take it apart and add more magents in the gaps.

Thank you for this video. I just purchased the very same boiler which is going to have to be split and brought to the basement 1 section at a time. So Hydro-testing after the sections are reassembled is an absolute must!! I prefer not to do it this way but I have no choice.

Yeah, I feel ya, bud! I had a total of 3 GE brand gas water heaters from Home Depot; all three had the tank rupture within 2-4 years of installation. Then, they started selling Rheem, and I thought, oh, good! Now THIS one should last finally. Nope! Two years after installation, I got that dreaded 8 red flashes one day, SO....I had to drain the tank and remove the original electronic thermocouple and I replaced it. Two years later, same damned thing. Now, just today, I had a bad pilot/ignition assembly, so I had to pull the main burner out and replace that; an easy enough fix, but infuriating to me nonetheless, because I remember when water heaters and furnaces lasted damned near 30 years before needing replacement; whatever happened to QUALITY like THAT?! I replaced my furnace over 22 years ago, and I had no issues with it, ever; I installed another new one about two years ago, and all I've had with it is trouble! I am so Goddamned sick and tired of this planned obsolescence!!!

Hi there I just saw your video and it’s that’s unfortunate that the first pilot line was crushed and leaking. It was a frustrating experience for you and many others that have had WH problems from Home Depot. It’s great you finally got it done and hot water back in the house. I know from experience Home Depot is a pain to deal with when it comes to Water heaters and having employees and management be disrespectful and condescending shows poorly on their character. I just checked my WH and it’s a Bradford white that I purchased from a plumbing supply house which higher end professional merchandise and it has the same slight saddle style bend in it so it may be that it’s part of the engineering for the installation side of the burner plate assembly. I hope that helps others in the same situation as I will also be mindful to look for a crushed tubes when unboxing the next WH. Take care and good luck to all.

The gas control valves are the weak point of all of these water heaters. The more safety they add to these water heaters the more things that will go wrong.
