He has some different options for the builds, RGB halos or without if you want a more standard looking build. @@wpjohn91 a lot of them tend to go to Jag heaven due to rust on the sills, it can cost a few grand to repair if it's really bad, so most people just scrap them unfortunately. The 3.0L manual is getting pretty rare and the most wanted by anyone wanting to own and possibly keep. Also the tax on the 06 onwards is around £600 per year but the same 2.5 on my 2004 is about £350. This video was done in the Bootle Strand carpark tends to be kinda quiet on upper floors, the kit that comes.on these sports are the XS kit, definitely a nice look I used to have an SE prior to this car 🙂 and thanks for checking out the videos and commenting, I've been a bit plowed under with work and time but I will adding some new content soon.

Jesus you are right. I mean tax at 700 Im old now (30s) so insurance will be below 1000 lets say 800ish And major service and the year upkeep without anything going wrong on a late petrol 3.0 could be close to two bags. Nearly 50% of what one costs to buy. That is nuts. When did car tax get so high on a 3.0 petrol.

@@wpjohn91 the tax jumped up on all facelift models I believe, I don't think its just the petrol models, there could have been a hike for the diesel also but not sure. I will try to get mine going to the end, ideally I would like to take her off the road and workmen her, replace nut and bolts etc, she's been getting scratch up lately by people on carparks she needs a good £500 polish and paint touched up on places. I wouldn't mind getting her painted or wrapped in white with some detailing. All money and time and it's my only car.

Hi there, it is the Ford Focus ST225 brake kit, it is a direct replacement, you just need the caliper, hanger and discs.

Unfortunately they aren't available to buy, they came on the sport premium models here in the UK, known as the XS Kit. Some people.breaking cars for parts will sell them, unfortunately I don't have a direct shop I can point you towards to buy.

@@rkphotography557 Yes would be interested. I work in Hightown near Liverpool. The car would have been scrapped many times over but I am stubborn and try to do all my own repairs big or small. I plan to get another car for work this year and preserve the x type. It's aged well, the retro look didn't strike me back in the early 2000's but now looks great compared to all the angular EVs etc. Cheers 😀

In Southport, that's awesome, if you ever want some photography or video im happy to do it, especially on another black X Type. The 3 litre is definitely the one to have. I think I'm on 144K The grills swap straight over it's just 4 10mm screws.

I'm not sure they were slightly wide though so needed out refurbing my original wheels but I did love those.

I got a set of leaper stickers which were meant to go on my brake calipers after a refurb, I wanted a metallic Cadbury purple, but I had to get driveshafts so the refurb got put on hold. The leaper is facing the wrong way as a nod to my first X Type, it had the leaper on the bonnet but it was fitted backwards by a previous owner.

Personally I love the leaper, this car didn't have one but I have a brand new in chrome all though I'd like it finished in black, then i will get it fitted. It's known as the XS kit it came with some Sport models of the X Type, front and rear bumper with side skirts.
