Hi, this scalloped clsssic vibe 70 is cool. Love the yellowed white. I had a Vintage Modified 70 Squier strat which was good for the price but I couldn't keep it because of the E treble string too close to the edge of the fingerboard...probably it's the spacing of the bridge as well as the nut. It was too painful even if it is always possible to shift the neck of the neck pocket a little but I consider that it is really a fault on the part of Fender/Squier...especially since I also had this type of problem on other Fender stratocasters. I don't know if this problem exists with Telecasters because it's a specific bridge?

do you ever feel different between rosewood and maple fretboard? if you do, or dont, which one do you like the most and why?
@rockcastlemusic6 күн бұрын
If a guitar is not scalloped I prefer rosewood or other substitutes just because they usually dont have any finish on them and it makes it easier to play than a maple neck with finish on them.

I'm right now just saving for this exact Vintera too. I've just started to get interested in stratocasters this year and i never had a strat and guitar with a tremolo bar before, so i'm excited. Also have been looking a strat in this colour with mapleneck for a while. First i thought i would get the Player series buttercream one, but then i thought it would be too bright and noticed that this one have the big headstock and right colour!

Does your other Vintera II strat hum as much as this one? I know single coils do that but I would have expected more gain. Which of the two do you prefer...the maple or the rosewood? I know you have modified some things but I'm talking stock.
@rockcastlemusicАй бұрын
The hum on this one when I filmed it is probably due to the other cables and electronics surrounding me at that time. I like this one better than the one with the rosewood fretboard because this feels a lot comfortable to play which is always puzzling to me when I compare rosewood fretboard and maple fretboard, rosewood always feels bit thicker in feel to my hands.

@andyhayes7828Ай бұрын
I think that the switch to the alder body is a big improvement. Fender ALWAYS used ash wood on anything 1970's (3 bolt, bullet rod, etc) on thier reissue's which was a turn off for me, because most of the best strats from the '70's ( imo '71/'72 up to around '75) are mainly alder. These Ventura 2 strats are essentially what I've always wanted in a reissue Fender product. I havent checked to see if the one's with the rosewood boards are authentically made though ('round lamenated' fretboard).

No they are not. These are now thin slab boards.
