Dude I'm so glad you felt the significance of the coachella performance,, I remember Skrillex playing a track he made with Missy Elliot and you can tell Kiernan's hearing this for the first time, and he's like, nah, we need to mix it in right. And he, on the spot, properly hypes the crowd up for seven. Fucking. Minutes. I've been djing for seven years, and am good enough to mix an unknown folder of songs on the spot. But that's just personal, Par levels of mixing. What Kiernan did in that moment is in my opinion the most impressive dj move I've ever seen. Yes I've seen Alive 2007. And alive 1997. And Skrillex's basement set. Still tops all of em. Rock on Four Tet!!! No Vibe Left Behind!!!1!

Hugely overrated as far as DJs and producing music goes. People just remember the name and jump on the bandwagon

ummm i think it's mostly PARISI... Fred is talented but he's a trust fundie masquerading as poor starving musician. I can't help but feel much of his big hits are ghost produced. Even people like four tet are involved.

They also called Garrix overhyped, and the rest is history...

Floating Points is an amazing artist, personally though I think Crush was better than Promises, completely different works of course but Crush delivered more, I would very much assume it was an album that made people open their eyes for Floating Points
@sergeypoltorakov23 күн бұрын
Yes, personally, I like Crush more too, but it’s hard to compare them as these two are probably for two different audiences.

People who watch the whole thing: understand what to do for the most part - observe, attempt, if stuck, move on. People that don't: truly applying the goal of the video lol

I am teary eyed watching this. Something about watching genuine people, humble people, man succeed at their craft. They deserve it all; I hope to achieve what it is in this life I want to. People like Fred are such lights and they don’t even realize their impact, much love x

What an amazing mini-doc, outstanding work Sergey! Fred is truly a gift to this world, he is a true innovator in music and I’d be hard pressed to name several people that come across more authentic and human than him and his music. Attending his surprise Coachella 2023 closeout set with my best friends is something I am eternally grateful for, it was an experience I’ll hang onto for the rest of my life 🥹🥹
