These cars are a POS. I only have 57k mikes with the same issue. I would never buy another Kia again in my life. Changed the cover assembly for the E-CVVT with sensor has the same issue? P00100. The car drives fine for 10 miles and idles at 1350 rpm and sluggish going up hills.

My experience was pretty straightforward. If you’re having on going problems, you have to diagnose deeper.

Why is no one posting the torque specs? It is recommended that you use blue locktite on the bolts for the bracket that attaches on the side of the motor as well as the black top mount. The rubber mount of the fender does not need to be removed because the top and the engine side plate give you enough clearance. Post tourque specs.

Hi, you didn't have to remove the oil pan? I see you took the bolts out. I assume you have to remove the oil pan for the timing cover to be able to come off. Am i correct?

It’s not the main timing cover it’s a cover on the timing cover

Yeah my bad. My comment was meant for a different channel. I have to remove the main timing cover on mine, as my issue is beyond the sensor. The cam phaser is siezeing

Air leak check. It’s good to do it anytime you have it torn apart.

@@hoodstarperformance4758 ok cool... im trying to narrow down my problem. Mine has a kind of mild whine only in nuetral and park and has no shift problems at all. The noise goes away as soon as I put it in gear. Would could it possibly be?

Hello..i just changed mine today..i have a constant high idle.. what did you spray on the ermine side to get that black carbon/dust off?...i just wiped with a dry rage. Would that be enough.. I'm asking because it didn't change my issue.. I've replaced cam sensor and all kinds of things..0011 code is still on there im at a loss.. I'm hoping maybe there is a clog on the engine side of this cap.. caused by this black dust stuff

Put some ATF in the cylinders and let it soak to help loosen it up

Never use an impact to remove head studs man that can tell you the tension of each bolt and if there was lots of heat etc in that area… like the sound of music you gotta feel and listen

You should also change the seal inside the camshaft, the cover only wont help to fix the problem for the long run.

This is just a suggestion only but you might consider sparying some PB BLASTER IN each of the Cylinders and let it sit for a couple of days and during that time of settling come buy and spray it a couple of more times. This will help with the tear down of the engine. And who knows you might get lucky and the crankshaft may not be damaged as much as you think. Good luck with your tear down.

I'm thinking on that 1st side it looks you had a bad head gasket and that's probably why you have rust in the Cylinders.

i got a 327 for free because they rebuilt it and left water in it and it cracked it runs hard has a bunch of after market parts on it and chrome but it don't hold water but it don't mix with the oil then i started looking at the block and it is cracked just under the head on the block goes all the way back then down to the oil pan i thinking how does it not mix with the oil but it runs really good and hard . i really only wanted the truck it was in . so i have all the internals for a 327 steel crank heavy rods 12 to 1 pistons moderate cam sounds like a 312 duration about 500 lift . i all ready have 2 327's that are built but will look for another block just i never run a sbc i pull them out and put a bbc in them still have 2 4 inch stroke 450 hp 454 sitting factory built engines
