Cool! Do you had the chance to also tape Nirvana in Detroid or Ann Arbor when they played in 1989-1991?

There you go, reinterpreting another familiar song so the lyrics flip on my head. The original comes up on my playlists a lot, but the lovely words got caught in the production. I don’t think I heard them before. Thanks for that.

Refreshing to recognize a good love song. Most are dysfunctional or disturbing. (I still enjoy them, but it was hard to find songs for the wedding).

Awe, thanks for coming by to listen. I really appreciate it. I catch myself singing this one quite a bit still. There are some similar chords in the song I’m working on now and this keeps wanting to bust out. Hope you and yours are well. 🙏🏻❤️

My sweet husband knows I love Majesty Crush, so he surprised me with his great find -- an interview with the band. He was the one surprised. I helped film it!

How cool! Good to ‘see’ you here, you totally did! It’s so great to listen to see this stuff coming round again. Did you see the sonic youth interview? It’s so weird. lol. Wish I had more of them but boxes were lost along the way. I’ve uploaded all that’s left except that picnic horn stuff which is total cringe. Speaking of cringe, sorry I was an asshat back in the day, hope you and yours are well. Really glad you commented. 🙏🏻

@@EdenBloom2023 Things are very well. I have not watched the Sonic Youth interview. Sometimes, meeting your idols is a disappointment. Picnic Horn was hard work, but a paying gig. No shame in that. I believed you and believed in you. Thanks for the apology. It is a nice thought.

I have something your mother gave me for my 18th birthday. I tried to give it back to her years ago, and she insisted I keep it. It was important to her, so I think it should be returned to her or her family. Can I give it to you? I can drop it off or mail it.
@EdenBloom20232 ай бұрын
That’s sweet. Sadly you’d have better luck getting it to her than I, but I’ll leave it there so I don’t seem disrespectful. 🙏🏻

Man, the crowd at the Orpheum in Boston (October 1990) heckled the crap out of poor Redd Kross, who were in their "bubblegum" phase and did NOT appeal to the people there to hear and see Sonic Youth in their dissonant glory.

I am not really sure how to describe what I heard. The only word that keeps coming to my mind over and over when listening is haunting. Very haunting! Well done!
@EdenBloom20233 ай бұрын
hey, thanks... that kind of makes sense. What I tend to visualize, or the story I concoct in my head when doing these is something like a "lost on a desert island" scenario where it's just me and the guitar and I'm attempting to remember songs from civilization. They are never perfect, the words don't always come back to me, and they are more like hauntings or memories. Thank you.

I have a super clear memory of this show as I edited my recording of it with superimposed cable broadcasts.
