I work at a nursery in the state of GA, and that is exactly how we water our flats. This time of year in the deep south, the plants get dehydrated quickly, so sometimes we have to water three times per day. Thank you for your video.

Hi! I really hope you see my message I recently got two lantanas. I'm growing them in pots but I'm having a few issues. My lantana flower petals are very sensitive they fall off without even barely touching them and then something all there is left is the bud of the plant. Also one of my lantana plant is full with green buds no flower. What should I do? I used plotting mix. I live in NJ. Should I fertilize them? There out in the sun 6-8 hours. I water them only when the soil is dry.

Regular vinegar or 20-30% concentrate?

So geraniums hate rain because their leaves get water on them. Also, a terrible plant to have in a mixed hanging pot because the other plants will need more water that will kill the geraniums. So geraniums are loners in pots by themselves.

Depends on the weather and time of year, once a day in winter/spring but then goes twice a day or more during late spring/summer when the heat starts up.

Just picked up some Lantana and did not realize they are an annual. We live in central Iowa and wondering if there is a way to winterize the plants. You are my go-to for plant info - Thanks for sharing your knowledge!
@SharkeysFloralGreenhouses2 күн бұрын
Lantana would be hard to overwinter inside as it is an annual for us in the northern part of the US. Yes, in the south they have it all over as a perennial, but we only get to enjoy it for the summer months.

I appreciate your videos. I live in southern Idaho and we had a very wet spring clear until the end of May. The heat is excruciating, so I spend much more time on my flowers. Our seasons have moved forward more and more for the last several years and my flower gardens are already peaking. It is a lot of work and adjusting everything. but it's worth it. We give each of our tomatoes 1 gallon BYN once a week. Water daily or when its not raining. I noticed yellow leaves toward the bottom of many of our plants. Too much water? Not enough fertilizer? Please advise.
@SharkeysFloralGreenhouses3 күн бұрын
It's really hard to over-water tomato plants but unless the whole plant looks like that I wouldn't get too worried. You can just take off the leaves in question.

Do I need to worry about burning my flowers if I fertilize more than once a week? Should I delute it? I love your fertilizer!!
@SharkeysFloralGreenhouses6 күн бұрын
No, you shouldn't need to worry as long as the dose is correct. You can fertilize a few times a week even if you want to push fast growth. The other option is a constant feed, where the dose is lower (like a half strength or less) and every time that you water the plants are getting fed.

Is it too late to use tums at the start of summer?
@SharkeysFloralGreenhouses6 күн бұрын
No, but it does need to be in the plant before the fruit starts developing. We use the TUMS about 3 times throughout the growing season.
