Going to sedona this weekend, i have ridden only locally in san diego. mainly blues in PQ, BM and Mt laguna.... canyon of fools is rated black, wondering if i can handle it. Is it like tunnels with relatively less chunk or steep chunky like black widow ? just a reference point would help

I'm newer to MTB. Used to race supersport motorcycles but never really rode a bike until 2 months ago. I'm now on a full suspension Polygon and can ride stuff like Black Widow, Shepherd's Ridge, and Elfin Forest. Do you think Luiseno might be too much for me? I tend to stop or go super slow on tricky features

I went there on opening weekend and the place was a little bit of a mess. I went back a few months ago and it was clearly obvious they are doing a lot of work to make the place better. I'm glad to see them hard at work.Building more trails and making the place truly worth the sixty dollars. The chair lift is not a rumor. Steven Ford said He really Wants to put in a chair lift if the place becomes economically viable. He did a podcast with mark from the segment that breaks down the future plans

I'm in the market for a new bike, I have the option between a GT Sensor Comp 140mm/130mm trail bike and a Marin Alpine Trail XR 160mm/ 150mm enduro bike. The Marin is an enduro and a huge spec up from the GT BUT they are priced similarly right now. Would it be smart to get the bigger bike for the same amount of buck as the smaller bike? I'm riding the same trails you ride for the most part. Local single track, no parks, some chunky downhill etc. I will be for the most part "over-biked" but is that such a bad thing when you save on better components?
@MTBTrailReview
@MTBTrailReview 4 ай бұрын
That's a tough question, and really it all comes down to personal preference. I prefer the way a trail bike rides. If it's only a few parts, and you prefer a trail bike, it might be worth it to get that and slowly upgrade as things wear down/break. Once again, I would say it really depends on your riding style and preference. Good luck!

I am a local from Temecula. Ive been to to this place 3 times and can’t recommend it less. First time waited hours for my first run because someone got “seriously hurt” and they couldn’t find them; guy was at the bottom connecting trail and it was a sprained ankle, Only had 2 runs that day. And they closed the park because the single fire road is the only way up or down. Second time I went i had to walk all the way back down because i popped my tire on exposed chicken wire from a rock garden. Third and the last time I hit a jump that i just plowed through the lip as it collapsed and went over the bars and broke my collarbone. This place feels rushed, half assed, just a quick money grab while MTB is exploding in the area. Never coming back much better and cheaper places to ride in the area. Nowhere near as good as vail.

Thanks for the voice video. I have just bought a giant talon and standing at 5'10, my height was between medium and large frame. The salesman suggested to buy a large frame and now i feel the teach is too long and my hands are stretched. I made a research i can't up with the idea to go from an 80 mm stem to a shorter like 50 mm. So the main reason for me to use a shorter stem is bike fit. Do you think it's a good idea to shorten the stem to 50 mm? By the way, when turning i feel the steering not very responsive. My rad is 80 cm and bike's rad is 85. Thanks

100% agree with you on your opening statement. I run an Absolute Black and it gives me an extra pedal stroke, I noticed it on the first climb i tried and a few others that day. I ride north east tech (check out Jeff Lenosky's Lynn Woods videos for ex) lots of punchy climbs, power moves etc. with flat pedals. I still fail climbs where my buddies are clearing them with regular chainrings but I'll take that extra stroke .. any future bike will have an oval installed.
