"That means they are pronounced exactly the same way." I think i can also say 'In the same way.' Is it right?

Clap but there is another word, it is applause, i am not sure
@EnglishWithEm12 сағат бұрын
Yes! The difference is that 'applause is a noun'. The verb is 'applaud'. It's more formal than 'clap'. We often say 'a round of applause': Let's have a round of applause for our new captain! 😊🌻

Yes! That's basically the same, except that we only use it as an instruction. Everybody, put your hands together for our newest member! You could say, "I'm clapping", but not, "I'm putting my hands together." 😊🌻

Thank you! Much appreciated 😊🌻 Weight doesn't tell us everything. Muscle weighs more than fat! I've been losing muscle lately because I haven't exercised since I had Covid. I've also gained a few kilos thanks to eating a lot on my holiday. Sigh...

@EnglishWithEm 😂, I know, recently I found my mind trapped between the concept of 'habit' ' 'rituals' 'will power' ' free will' ' unconditional love' and 'morphic fields' while trying to fight a swarm of thirsty mosquitos. Has it ever happened to you? Hope you are doing well and that the weather's cooled down in Spain. Have a good weekend.
