I don't remember which famous drummer said this. But, it goes. If you can say it, you can play it.

Thanks for good stuff. The hardest part for me is the up and downbeat's in both hands actually, as you say, clean them up a bit . Also, when making a nice fill that fit in is quite challenging , and back to a relaxed schuffle.

Thank you! I taught myself three. Going to take a lot of practice to get to 120 bpm though!

Great to see Stvo32 again and talking music and drums, but Eric at times is brutal. Need to learn from some of the best in doing interviews. Set thing up and let the guess go....and in your format you don't even need to cut them off or try to redirect them as you have editing at your finger tips. Look at some late night with David Letterman and others. Good to see Stevo32 again all the same. Cheers!

Great interview, it was really great to hear him talk about retraining himself. I would be curious to hear him talk about the awkward period of integrating his new technique and how long it took him to start applying it to actual play versus just practicing. I'm in my 30's now, played in a punk band growing up and also developed tons of bad habits. Now I am relearning with the help of all these great resources, and I have become obsessive about technique, I love it. So for me, this has been one of the best interviews I have seen in a while, I could totally relate!

Well shit, I've been jamming around for 6 months now and never once have I tried to play a rudiments. I'm only 2 minutes into this videos too. I know I know, I really should work on sticking and rudiments but I have this thing about getting a fast foot first. And no, not double pedal lol. With that being said I'm in my 40's and I'm just doing this for fun. But yes, play along to a metronome. As a newb I wish I would've done that from day 1. Thank you
