1. Pre Cowboys records are irrelevent, everybody in the band including the brothers didn't acknowledge those records and stopped giving a f about them. Everyone in the band calls Cowboys From hell "Our first record". 2. The killer had other motivations for commiting the act. The main reason was that Pantera were stealing his music, and that was before Phil's magazine incident, according to his friends who distanted themselves from him because he was crazy, trying to sue Pantera etc. He had already been crazy before the magazine incident. You can't suddenly go from normal to having mental disorders after some magazine paragrapgh. Questioningly, he could have already planned it before the paragrapgh was published. 3. Phil tours because it's also his music and he was actually the main song arranger of the band who did more than just writing lyrics. He wrote many riffs and was also the one who kept the band intact in the late 90s to not go Nu Metal like the brothers wanted and betray the fans, which they did went Nu Metal with Damageplan. Dime also wanted to get Phil back after the last Damageplan tour they were doing because "the magic is not there". Thus, he's an important role who in my eyes and has the rights to perform his own music. And he's always been apologetic and he does miss the brothers and is paying tribute to them beautifully at every gigs like they deserve.
