I remember this finish very well: in some ways it reimnded me of the 2007 Daytona 500, where Kevin Harvick beat Mark Martin to the finish by mere inches. Dale Jr. would finish second for the millionth time in his career, and although he did win the 2004 Daytona 500, it wouldn't be until 2014 when he scored his second and final Daytona 500 win.

I don't get how this is rigged, DEI from the 2001 to 04 Daytona and Talladega races performed when it mattered, they were just intelligent enough to kick your ass

Fly the blimp, to much hot air. Race announcer, same thing there! Another great highlight of this race I'm searching for was the post race tv footage of Glen Wood walking to victory lane and Richard Petty spotted him and quickly caught up with him shook his hand ,patted him on the back and they walked together .

DEI was a powerhouse in restriction plate racing and that was when it was a blast to watch. Had dale not died they would have won alot and still be winning
