I was curious when someone mentioned making beads from potatoes. I found your video! The jewelry turned of spudtacular! I like that you added spacer beads. It allows the shape of potato beads to show very well. 👌

Thank you for stopping by and watching! I’m so glad you like that pattern. It’s one of my newest called Sunday Morning and it was made from some of the fabrics in PRISMS, my very first signature fabric line with Island Batik. 🤗 You can find the pattern in my Etsy shop and I believe the fabric is in various shops around the country. I know that it is currently at Hancock’s of Paducah. Glad you liked this project!

❤❤❤ Thank you. I'm not into Christmas, when it is Christmas. I have had some bad employers who took all the fun out of Christmas for me. I do send Christmas cards, and I do give gifts. However, I have learned to stay at home on Christmas (if I want to enjoy Christmas).

Oh Boy! This is a pretty block. It was easy to draw, which means it will be easy to cut and sew. It reminds me of a Board Game (but, I can't remember the name of the game). It looks like fun. Thank you or the free pattern, instructions, and video.

I love this and will be making one. My hint is to fold the top piece of fabric on the back of the envelope so it is wrong side up before putting the pillow form in. Then put form in and fold the top back over so right side is up.. worked easier for me.. thanks..

You can make a slap bracelet with a metal tape measure cut up into pieces and covered with duct tape. I have used this to make the little snap closure for small bags. Kids love them made with fun fabrics for halloween and filled with treats.

Nice video Claudia. With this method there are two layers of fabric on top of the project but right along the edge there is only one thickness of fabric. IMO this would be good for a wall hanging, table topper, table runner, etc but not a quilt that is going to get used a lot and washed a lot. When you look at older quilts that have been loved and need repair inevitably it's the binding that has worn out.

ai love this method, and thanks for the tutorial Claudia. Why not end your quilting 1/8- 1/4" away from all edges? That gives you a bit of room for trimming without cutting the backing fabric. And, the quilting will e caught in the binding when you sew it down.
@CreatewithClaudia
@CreatewithClaudia 16 күн бұрын
That’s a good tip. I just like sewing up to the edge. That way I know that any edges of my quilting will be secured when I stitch dow the binding. One does see the quilting a bit, in the back side of the binding but it doesn’t bother me. Thanks for stopping by!

Why not slide a mat on top of backing, then u can use a rule and cutter?
@CreatewithClaudia
@CreatewithClaudia 16 күн бұрын
Possibly but I would worry that the rotary cutter would slide next to the mat (between the quilted section and the mat) and then slice the backing. Avoiding that backing fabric is the tricky part. Thanks for stopping by and watching!

I bound my cotton flannel quilt this way many years ago. I need to make some repairs to that quilt; and, after I remove the old folded back binding, rebind the quilt with new binding. It wont be a new quilt; but, it will still be warm and colorful.
