I understand perfectly the extra washer give it a wide surface area via the back side of the fork to keep the bearing and shaft from playing which is probably the real cause of the bearing wear down with the play it had before the bearing would constantly be at tension and wear them down much faster. That was a good move. I am BFL small engine repair located in Texas I have not had a zero turn brought to me with these bushing issues but it's nice to know if I did I immediately recommend a sealed bearing kit rather than the unsealed factory ball bearing bull crap. It's discouraging to see unsealed bearings in such a high dollar unit I remember when I was a kid you got a high dollar bicycle it had sealed bearings in the top tube for forks, crank, wheel hubs etc🤦 but a high dollar unit like this (I assume it's a toro timecutter) and has ball bearings in the hub from the factory. That's BS 😬

It was for a cabin filter that was fitted to the outside of the engine compartment. watch that it might be easier than going through the underside of the dash. Try searching this (How To Clean Fresh Air Grate on Ford Raptor-F150 [Bonus Cabin Air Filter Replacement!]). do not know if this will help. I have fixed quite a few of the older version. I always dismantle the burner and clean it in carburetor cleaner. I have had two with bad regulators on the tank. One would not light at all, the other would run a couple of hours and then quit. I fixed that one using the regulator from an old gas grill. I have another that will only light with a lighter. What is the purpose of this baffle and is it necessary.
@diyhomefront169516 күн бұрын
If I understand it right the mower blades have a little bend at the end of the blades. That helps the blades lift the grass, cut the grass and get it out of the mower deck. The vortex baffle helps keep the shape of the mower deck correct to help with that (cut and remove the grass).

For that spline alignment issue here’s what you do… If the spline is broken off the door is closed, or in recirculating mode. So, connect the motor, and select recirculating mode on the dash. This will move the motor to the recirculating position. Once movement is complete turn power off. Line the motor with splines, and screw holes. It may be necessary to “wiggle” the motor to get screw mounting holes to line up. Good luck.

Ran great for a year, did not work year 2. I did pretty much all you did in the video, still n/g. I had called Mosquito Magnet peeps and they said I had to take it to an authorized dealer ($100) for servicing which the only one in my area is 65 miles away. Dropped it off and when I was headed back home the tech called me back and said "It's Fixed". Really , that fast? Well, it worked for 1 tank of gas and stopped working again- Going to try what you did cleaning the thermmistor again.. or throw it out a window. When it did work, it worked great.

I was taught, 50 years ago, to wipe or brush on stain, then wipe off the excess. How is this different? I see that you do not, on this project, wipe the stain after application?
@diyhomefront1695Ай бұрын
I am not a true professional but this what I do. If I was building something that would be out of the weather and I was going to maybe polyurethan it, I would do just what you said. Put on stain and then wipe it off. That is because the majority of the purpose of the stain would be to color the wood and a secondary byproduct would be to provide the project with some king of protection. If I am doing a project that I know is going to be outside, the first thing is to protect it from the weather and rain. So outdoor stains/sealers are weather coating and meant to seal and protect the wood. I always use a brush to work the stain/sealer into the wood. I also really work it into the grain of the wood and leave it that way. The more stain/sealer left on the surface the longer it will repel water and hopefully last before I have to do it again. Sorry for such a long answer but there it is, that is what I do and why I do it.

Good Luck fixing yours, they are not cheap but when m-magnet works it does help with getting rid of the mosquitoes.

A Word of caution regarding the burner/filter apparature! In the film, the hole thing easily slips out when the screw is removed. In my unit, it would not come loose so I twisted it with a spanner. It kinda snapped and I kept twisting back and forth. Big mistake! For my model, you have to take the manifold apart in order to service the filter. Now I have an aluminium sleeve stuck halfway so that it covers the filter hex nut. I might have busted the hole thing😢. When you look close on the film you see that it's smooth on the sides where the screw is. On mine, there are some casting dots on both sides that makes pressure on the mentioned aluminium sleeve.

Get on your computer and go to the ereplacementparts.com web site and enter your model number in the search window. It should bring up your mower's parts breakdown. From there you can find the part you're looking for on the mower diagrams with a description and part number. It makes it really easy to order from them or amazon.com.
