I love this. Filming is real time really shows the occasion properly in a way that timelapse never can. But.. the high iso noise is very obvious. You can use TEMPERAL denoising in Adobe After Effects. I have done a tonne of this. Temporal denoise basically relies on the fact that nothing much has changed in the content between vidoe frames, except for the noise - every frame is different. By Temperal denoising across frames, eg, 1, 2 or even 5 frames, the grain can be effectively eliminated, whilst preserving most of the detail. This process works great.

Thankyou! I did test denoising with the neatvideo plugin, however I'm a bit of a stubborn purist in terms of noise: as long as it's 'dots' of noise and not 'compression blocky' noise, I actually prefer the raw points of light data, rather than smoothing them over. At 400,000 ISO, it was definitely not going to be clean 😁 This is also my complaint with all those ai upscales of old film footage: a clean scan of the noisy film is nicer in my opinion than smoothed textures.
