A great start to my morning ! Hey Vincent ! When R U coming to Ottawa ? I need about 40 hours with ya, but I'll settle for 4. Wish you lived closer. Thornhill is lucky to have you. I noticed you're not posting as-much, but this is to be expected with summer upon us and you teaching the local kids at your tennis center. I hope they appreciate what a great teacher you are.

@@tennisdoctoratp Thanks for taking time out of your day Vincent ! ... oh and your new "LIVE Ball" section is great ! There are so many tennis channels on KZfaq that will go on about a technique for 10 minutes and then end the video. As amateurs, it's a must to actually see whatever the teacher is trying to explain in a brief real demonstration so that we actually get it and it "clicks" Thank you for that. You are great. I realize it's a business for you, and I hope your paid courses do well, but for KZfaq tutorials are second to none, and it's great to see you are willing to break down those shots for us. The slo-mo at the beginning of this video too for example really puts a focus on how fast you go for a really relaxed motion to a fast motion like when a cheetah explodes into action. I never really got that until I saw that part of the video in your intro. Thank you Vincent !

This is such a wonderful and priceless tutorial with step by step to understand how one handed backhand works exactly. Thank you.

He’s doing Pat the dog, typical of ATP players but not the only option for the take back and contact. I like the shoulder past the hips though and follow through. Good lesson but too much talking. Give the kids one new thing at a time to work on.

Handcuff position over front toe, shift bodyweight to back heel, make a coil, get into letter Y & toss the ball, toss from knee & follow the line, trophy position 🏆, load both legs together, flip the shoulders, pull in left arm & pronate, land on left foot for rt handed server.
@porgiamor2 күн бұрын
Feet sideways, Letter Y, hyper pronate along the baseline: 7am-1pm on the ball, Check the time on your watch, Keep going & make a power line. Finish sideways.
@porgiamor2 күн бұрын
Feet sideways / Letter Y / Brush, comb your hair / Scratch your back, shoulder flip / Bottom left to Top right of ball / Check the time on your Watch / Make letter X. Bonus: Toss in the same spot, upfront to the right for rt-handed player. Ball at 45° angle, a few feet above the head. You can whip your shoulder faster this way. Yay!

Now I have to disagree because you're missing a lot more in your demo.

I can't believe he said ""you're pretty much screwed"" He really needs to pull this video or edit it. because actual meaning of this word is totally unacceptable.

Great lesson! Thank you! I’m starting to develop tennis elbow because I assume I’m using all arm. The explanation of body power and the racquet is the end of a whip helped A LOT. Thank you!

If eyes look up causing head to move look up ball will go out. When the head moves upwards the frame/swinging hand opens up.

It is pretty obvious that the arm should be loose. However how to achieve loose arm effect ?

THIS is the video that actually made the forehand click for me. I have not been aware that when I'm in my flow zone and hitting forehands that feel like muscle memory, I was doing this without being aware, and when my forehand feels pushy I was doing exactly the movement you showed

After the ball leaves the strings, nothing you do affects the ball.

Very good video! Would it help to incorporate this movement during trainingsessions by catching the racket above the left shoulder with the left hand next to the grip after the swing? Or is it better / sufficient just to concentrate on keeping the head still at contact?

Great analysis. Man, that Nadal stroke really looks like it's low to high, but I think I get what you mean from your other vid that he's not "swinging" low to high, he's moving his body low to high and his arm and racquet are along for the ride.
@vlaminggarrulus47854 күн бұрын
He doesn't intent to move low and high, he is in fact staying down, he is only in the air to move freely until contact point.

I've been playing tennis for a long time, many years of competitions but I have to say this is maybe the best teaching video I've seen so far. Patrick Mouratouglou known as one of the best coaches never ceases to enhance this early snap of the wrist. I never agreed with that.

watched ten of your videos , felt great, then I reach the court, and the same thing happens, all the forehands flying off the bat or into the net, just painful to be beaten by junk ballers
