Why don't you just use the 50 extra bulbs in the cannibalized? Strand and make a short strand... ☝🏼🤶🏼

Ok Das I have a request. Use the voltage detector function of LKP and do a video. I’ve given up on the shunt fixer. About to give up on the voltage detector too.
@KSpaceAcademy
@KSpaceAcademy 8 ай бұрын
Unfortunately, there *are* ways a strand can be broken this can't fix. Did you try pulling it double the number of times you thought you needed? I didnt have a lot of luck with the voltage detector. -Das
@barbiebeckford2988
@barbiebeckford2988 8 ай бұрын
@@KSpaceAcademy I guess I haven’t pulled the trigger 60 times. What happened when you tried the voltage detector? The theory seems pretty simple but apparently it is black magic.
@barbiebeckford2988

What else can go wrong with these lights? I’ve got voltage as determined by the voltage detector feature of the LKP. I find a bulb that’s bad, I replace it with one that works. Nothing changes. I don’t understand. It’s the same thing with every strand of lights (6 or so) I’ve tried to fix.
@barbiebeckford2988

Why can’t I make this thing work?? The shunt fixer has never helped. I use the voltage detector to find the bad bulb, replace it with a good one but it never fixes it. I’m so annoyed. I want to like this device but it needs to work.

so just wondering if the pro whatever thing is actually melting the insulation on all of the bulbs or just the ones not allowing the electricity to flow through the burnt ones? i am sure theres a law or something explaining this like water flows through the area of least resistance?

I have a question, how are you able to put in a new bulb that works if you have created a short in the socket? Shouldn't by pass the light?
@barbiebeckford2988
@barbiebeckford2988 8 ай бұрын
It’s not in the socket the shunt is in the bulb. You replace it after your lights come back on.
@Radioman-pv5np

Thanks for the explanation. I just fixed a light set with ours but just HAD to know how this sorcery worked. Question, when you use this, does it not also melt the shunts on good bulbs? Is there any risk to that?
@KSpaceAcademy
@KSpaceAcademy 8 ай бұрын
I believe the good bulbs already have a complete circuit... because the filament is intact.... so the shunt should not be affected. Glad it helped!

1 thing u did not mention is that it comes with replacement bulbs. so really u could just replace the bulbs that are burned out instead of cannibalizing another strand.
