We followed this logic already for 8 years since 2014, when they annexed Crimea and Donbas region in Ukraine. Ukrainian themselves didn't believe that russia will attack Kyiv and go to the full scale war. Some of Europeans do not believe that after conquering Ukraine, russia will not go with the war further. Well, turn on russian TV and listen what they say. They are not fighting against Ukraine, they are fighting against NATO.

No political party in Europe is "far right", the most conservative right-wing parties are very much centrist. This is why Europe as a whole is in such trouble.
