I didn't realize that even the new AC compressor has so loud noise - and that's normal for it? I've being kind of worried for mine, it has that ... well ... "compressor" noise. Which one can hear when standing next to the passenger front fender.
@How2Helen
@How2Helen 15 күн бұрын
Hello. After filling up the AC system with the correct amount of refrigerant, the sound goes away. You don't even hear it running. The compressor needs the correct "load". With less load, the compressor will run faster, causing the metal noise. Please add refrigerant in your system before the compressor goes bonkers. Once it is almost full, you will hear the noise disappear. Let us know how it goes. Thank you for asking! - Rjeff H2H

FYI metric bolts are classed by thread size not head size, so bottom bolt not 18mm its either 10 or 12 hard to say from the video. Same with the top bolt.
@How2Helen
@How2Helen 21 күн бұрын
Hello. Yes you are right that they are classified by thread pitch/size and not head size. However, if I use that measurement, how will I inform the viewers what socket size to use? if I say, M10, there is no M10 socket size in the tool set. Thread size will not give you the information on what socket to use. So I have to resort to using the measurement of the head size to match the equivalent socket size to use. Anyway, I hope that it is ok with you that I used the head measurement to match the socket. Thank you for watching! - Rjeff H2H

Hey Can you let me know if all is still working fine for you and if it didnt give you any more errors or troubles because all you did was replacing the compressor right? Thanks for making this video.
@How2Helen
@How2Helen 22 күн бұрын
Hello. Yes, the compressor seems to be holding up. Surprisingly, once the compressor was working, some of the random code is gone, particularly the code that will cause the vehicle not to pass inspection (See the first video I had for the i8 for reference). The i8 seemed to have the compressor replaced recently before it failed again, and I would assume they have replaced the condenser as well. If they did not replace it, then, hopefully they at least inspected it and deemed it was still ok. That is why I did not replace the condenser. I am planning on making a video and have more details regarding the replaced compressor and other details about the repair. I am just making sure the new compressor holds up more than 6 months. Hopefully, it will have most of the answers you are seeking. If you have more questions, please pm us on Facebook, and will be happy to answer your questions. Hope to hear from you soon. @@How2Helen come again…. The headliner comes out in under 20 minutes. Glue costs a couple of dollars and 25 dollars for the material, reupholstering it is the way to go. There is never a need to use screws in your car roof!! But no anger my friend, just sheer amazement! This won’t end well. The glue deteriorates due to the early generations holding humidity after being switched off (this is why the rear window mists up after use on spring mornings). This “repair” will cost you more in the long run. But each to their own. 🫡

I still have a serious problem with my 2001 Chrysler PT Cruiser with a 2.0 gasoline engine. Here’s what’s happening: Bubbling and boiling coolant: On average, every 100-200 km, the coolant starts to boil. The experts said it’s not the head gasket because there was no CO2 in the coolant. We replaced the thermostat and the radiator cap, but the problem persists. Coolant being pushed to the overflow tank: It seems that coolant from the main circuit is being pushed to the overflow tank and not returning to the main circuit. We have to regularly add coolant to the main circuit to prevent the engine from overheating, but after some time, there is too little coolant in the main circuit again. Over the past month, we have added 5 liters of coolant. Coolant leaking outside: Coolant is being pushed to the overflow tank and then leaks outside because the overflow tank is above the overflow hole. What could be causing the blockage of the coolant return? Is it possible that something else is damaged in the cooling system?
@How2Helen
@How2Helen Ай бұрын
Hello. Your radiator/cooling system is clogged up with rust particles. Remove the radiator, and flush the system with a garden hose. Catch the water coming out of the system and when you flush it and you will see rust particles coming out. Replace the radiator. If you have a non-turbo, it is very easy to replace. In short, because your radiator is clogged up, when the vehicle is on load, the pressure from the waterpump is too great for the radiator due to the clog, and diverts the hot coolant back to the expansion tank. So the coolant in the expansion tank is coolant from the engine that is not cooled down. Anyway, as mentioned, please replace the radiator before any damage happens to the engine from continuous overheating. That should fix your issue. Thanks for watching! -Rjeff H2H
