Maybe the spot is now too blatant? Before, when the sediment was stirred up by fish, perhaps this reduce visibility.. The Tench looks happy on the edge of the spot, at the back... Often when I carp fish, when a spot has seen some pressure and the fish have "polished " it clean. The "seam" on the outside edge of the spot, where the clean area meets the dirty area, is more productive.... Great video. I never get bored of watching fish behavior.... Also, when there are a few more larger fish, like the first time you fished, there is more competition amongst them. When they are competing for the food items, they will feed with less caution..

I mean if you look closely the last few seconds he could have been hooked! He had a chance to strike. A 4 to 6/0 gamakatsu octopus and he and his mates would be dinner. Don’t know why people think they need huge hooks to catch fish. I use maximum 6/0 primary & 5/0 secondary for live bait upto 45cm and even if I use just the head as bait from a massive 60+cm bait fish like a salmon or Taylor I still use those same hooks and 9 times out of 10 always successful. It’s all in the way you feed in your hooks. You don’t have to go in deep. If you’re using a big fillet piece make sure the hooks come out from the side of the skin so they don’t fold back in. Talking from over 20 years experience. With big hooks the bait sits on the floor and doesn’t look very natural. My 2 cents

You need to change to a hook at least 1/3 of that size..

😎 You always have cool underwater vids. I’m shopping for a new aquatic video camera. What do you recommend, please?

Thank you. I'm using Gopros for action shots, so I don't really know different cameras.

@@underwaterireland Thanks! Your vids are more clear than mine. I’m using the ASAKO. It’s rated number 8 in the best underwater cams. GoPro is number 1 of course

Theres something wrong about this. I use dead fish as bait all the time...but this feels like you're violating the fish.
