The questions I have, is where did he take it, and who did the job previously. My guess is a lube-tech at a quickie oil change place that also happens to do brake work. As the English say, "if all you pay is peanuts, don't be surprised if all you get is, a load of monkeys."

We had a fully loaded 95 4X4 2500 burb with the 5.7 when I was a kid along with other GMT400s. It was an awesome truck back in the day when every other family had minivans. My dad traded it in for peanuts because it had leaking valve stem seals like every SBC for a 2004 Sierra 1500 Z71. That burb got like 8 MPG with the 5.7 TBI and gas prices were quite high back then. GMT 400s and 800s were the best trucks GM ever made, you still see GMT800 beaters regularly on the road even in the rust belt.

If you ever hear a sound like a wood screw being driven in hardwood without a pilot hole, that could very well be metal fatigue at a joint. Neighbor had the noise for months and couldn't find it. Eventually, the head of a rear later link at the wheel broke from small, repeated twisting. It's a unique sound. Definitely a metallic twisting sound, not grinding or scraping.

I haven’t been to Jersey in 9 years , and I had no idea you can’t pump your own gas . This is interesting because I was at wa wa, I had a family member who used To live in delran and I think it’s only a handful of miles away from your meineke! If that’s true then I’ve rode past your shop , small world !
@huckilt
@huckilt 6 сағат бұрын
Well if you see someone coming from the other side they obviously need to be at that forward pump you don’t as you already passed up one to get there. Yea maybe not everyone is courteous and does the right thing but does that make it right for you to not do what’s right? Like you said there is no wrong and right at the gas pump but there is wrong and right in your heart and being helpful to someone else might jus help their day get a lil bit better cause you never know what the next person might be going through and you blocking the pump when you could simply back up could be the catalyst for something awful to happen maybe not to you but it could be what pushes that person over the edge they were carefully treading on

If a tech's box looks like that what kind of work ethic does he have? With all the choices now available for tools there's no excuse not to have the necessary equipment to perform. Not every tool needs to be Snap-on.

I know Jersey is the only state, Oregon changed their law, that doesn't have self serve gas stations. I don't know if this goes way back to the Hess family making the law or what. You pull up all the way to the next available pump. First come, first served. Some stations are one way only. That's what I'd do to all of them. Be sure those hoses reach the far side of vehicles and have it one direction. But that makes too much sense for Jersey.

The guy who walked off is an F'in jerk. He couldn't wait to tell you face to face what his issues were? I think he left because he's lazy, lacking in skills, and is an ass clown. What a workforce we have in America. No pride, no decency, no respect, no work ethic, no character, no nothing. Just wanna get high and play video games. WTF.😊😊😊

On the Colorado/Canyons the Parking Brake is inside that Rear Rotor. That is from the the Road Salt and Brine. That is why I upgraded from the Factory Rotors. The Higher Grade OEM supposed don't do that. I have Power Stop on my Colorado

That's the difference between a team and a cult. Just like in sports, if the quarterback isn't getting it done, you bring in the backup. Whereas in a cult, you can never replace your leader. Too bad you're so in to politics. I was enjoying the non-political content. Oh well, there are lots of other channels that realize it's politics that divide.

It wasn't a cyber attack. Crowdstrike, a publicly traded company, accidentally released a buggy piece of software that many computers in the world use causing them all to crash. To fix the issue users just had to boot in safe mode and delete one file and then everything was fine-but a pain in the ass nonetheless. But yeah, it's scary how fragile the system is and that there aren't more redundancies.

If democrats thought that Biden could win, he would have stayed in. Pretty remarkable moment in history for the world's most powerful person to willingly give up their power. Hasn't happened many times. Kamala wasn't the favorite in the party to succeed, but so that she can inherit the money already raised for Biden, and because it's pretty bad optically to sidestep your vice president when this is what they're for, especially when it's a woman of color, the nominee couldn't really be anyone else. But it turns out that democrats are actually pretty excited. Trump is still the favorite I think but at least now there will be a competitive contest.
