who the hell is smoking cigars at $100+ apiece with any regularity? That should shock the sensibilities of even filthy rich people. It's a ridiculous price and one cigar, no matter how good, is not worth it. So people must only be buying up cubans just to have them, store them away in their humidors and hope they go up in value more. As soon as the Cubans have sold everyone who wants them all their cigars they can afford at jacked up prices, then, in order to continue making money, they will have to drop the price til it makes sense to buy them to smoke again. Then who is gonna want to buy your Cohibas for 300, 400, 1000 dollars?

This is exactly what happened in the Burgundy wine sector. I used to drink some burgundy wines costing €100 a bottle and the price soared to €4,000 a bottle in 10 years. This is supply and demand. Whether people are drinking them or storing them is another issue. We are living in a capitalist run world and we must accept the rules and consequences. I am not buying this €4,000 a bottle wine but other less known good wines. Will we see a collapse of Cuban cigar prices the way we are currently seeing a collapse of Burgundy Grand Cru prices? Wait and see? There are people spending €100,000 for a lunch in Ibiza and St Tropez. Do I think it is obscene? Yes, especially when they throw champagne on each others. But they are free to do what they want with their money. Do I think that paying €2,000 for a Cohiba Majestuosos is obscene? Yes I do. Is it worth it? Not at all. But If you are filthy rich and want to smoke Majestuosos or Behikes it is your right! The number of millionaires and even billionaires is rising all the time…

Is the short filler tobacco all the same from a single production or is it or tends to be a blend of leftovers? I find the short fillers constantly dropping ash, best to smoke out of doors. Cheers from Canada

Not all short fillers are dropping Ash..... you can have a good binder and a wapper that complete a cigar and bring lots of tasty notes

Hello, How much does ambient temperature affect the cigar’s performance? If the temperature in my humidor and house is warmer than the outside temperature (due to winter), does this have negative affect on the cigar? Ie - cracking or bitterness? For me, smoking in the winter environment is not very pleasant due to wrapper cracking and/or bitterness, and I don’t know if it’s due to temperature difference from my warm house to cold outdoor temperatures. Thanks

Higher temperatures tend to age the cigars faster. Like all chemical reactions the higher the temperature the faster the reaction. Do not worry humdity control is far more important than temperature 20-25 is not a problem. Do you believe that Cuba is colder than this? Enjoy!

I am a new subscriber thanks to KZfaq. I live in N.S., Canada having thee most Draconian smoking laws outside of a total ban. That plus our harsh winters makes for me a short smoking season. The Embargo is all politics especially when JFK used the American taxpayers dollar to buy up a large stock of Cuban cigars before signing the Embargo. If anything both Cubans and us Americans are victims of this BS, but more-so the Cubans.

Good shop. The owner has great attitude. The margarita cigars are descent cigars but for $15 a piece is overpriced. You can find much better farm roll cigars for $5 to $10 at other lounges. These ladies are great and by no means I discount that.

I think it depends on the shop. These are first class. I picked up a few robustos from LCDH in The Cohiba Hotel and when i got back to my AirBNB i noticed they were all different colors and sizes. I think they were about $7. Maybe the Partagas shop with La China rolling is on the same level, but not many other places.

@@pman31604 I can't comment on your experience but to pay $15 for a cigar that is farm rolled while in Cuba is a sin if you know cigars. You might as well buy the Habanos brands as you can get many brands in any cigar store for $10 to $25. Why not smoke a Partagas D.4 for example for less than $20 instead of a farm roll for $15. These rollers in Cuba are greedy. I say buy Habanos official brand cigars and be happy with what is available.

Ziplock bag. can be purchased in supermarkets. They usually keep the humidity for 2-3 days days. If you add a boveda it can last months.

@@habanonews just came back from Cuba. Unfortunately, all cigars stores are empty, we were not allowed filming anything due to "keeping the image" and not showcasing empty shelves. Ladies in this store are amazing and we gladly purchased many house blends.

Looks like Havana House may have one of the fake Cohiba Majestuosos humidors up for sale, no humi number on inside of lid in picture. £80,000 it is up for too.

Sometimes they remove the number using photoshop to prevent people from knowing where the box came from. It does not mean that the box is fake. Havana House has a good reputation.

I’ve been smoking for 26 years, I was at La Escogida last Festival del Habano and tried the Margaritas and I have to say that are some of the best smokes I’ve tried. Besides the great cigars the attention from Sarai and her girls is top notch! Had a great time!

There house rolled cigars are real popular, i always see them popping up in articles and reviews. This shop is excellent, these girls are off the hook they know there cigars and as a bonus they smoke cigars and roll cigars and the Cigars she rolls are incredible.
