I think the redback is fully plastic, that's why it needs plastic bolts? I expect metal bolts will wear out the track pretty quick

Im thinking of getting this crossbow is it aluminium were you put the bolts.

Every barrel seems to be different in what it likes. I tried JSB Diabolo Exact Express (very similar if not identical to the Air Arms). My results were not great in my rifles but very good in my pistols. The regular JSB Diabolo Exacts shoot very well once you have the right diameter. Available in 4.51 to 4.53, I get much tighter groups in the 4.53. If I had to pick a pellet which works well in all my guns I'd pick H&N Field Target Trophy. I don't use them much as every gun I have shoots slightly better with something which isn't H&N but they are a great "universal" pellet in my experience. As ever, your mileage may vary...

You should of just bought the standard 2250 and then just added a steel breach rather than chopping the barrel

Nice setup, I have the Ek pistal crossbow and took off the iron sights and replaced with the red dot sight from the 175lb Jag2, which I have a 4x32 on now. I've often though whether it would be good in a home invasion situation and thought it would be a lot less hassle with the law if I used something like a catapult, never the less these pistols are great for indoor shooting, especially as I refuse to use the Jag2 indoors, after a dry wall incident 😂

Hello Jon, That looks a very nice gun rack you've made there and all painted up, too! I like woodwork too and with air rifles as a hobby, there's lots of things you can make to help you along. I've made 'A' frame shooting targets, a gun rest for zeroing your air rifles at a table, amongst other things and they're all made to our own designs, usually with hand tools, which is very satisfying. Not everyone has lazer guided cutting machinery, etc. Well done, my friend.

I use a go pro thumb screw on the back stock.Added a shot gun rubber pad to make it longer and better balanced too

@Jon Woodhouse The OP360 is an awesome kit, however, it lacks support/backing from the parent companies who sell it. That alone pushed me into Steambow's territory. One other thing, Steambow inserts a solid metal bar at the rear, where you attach/screw down the iron sight. The screw used is machined 4mm where I see others use wood screws that easily strip the plastics. If I'm not mistaken, the OP360 requires you to purchase the insert and afterward melt the cert in. Maybe the EU countries have access to parts for the OP360?... Here in the States no such luck. However, Steambow parts are EZ to get in the States. That said, your bow is simply beautiful.

My brother actually did this with me with a bow when i was a stupid 7-8 yr old and like an idiot i stood against the fence with an apple on my head,he missed, the arrow hit my eye just missing my eyeball and was in the eyelid,running indoors to tell my mother with the arrow sticking out of my head almost gave my mother a heart attack... DONT TRY IT AT HOME.
