I find the picture and quote connecting to fine artist, Carlos Almaraz to be offensive as I knew him personally, I am working with his wife and widow now, and we shot a mural of his dedication to the daughters, mothers, and grandmothers of Aztlan, and is the total focus of the mural. My first reaction was anger, but I think you may just be uninformed. I like what you are trying to say, but please, rethink the way you are painting these artists and in what light. This would make a lot of people upset. He was one of the kindest, smartest, passionate people that ever lived and had love for everyone. He was also an activist for all people and not just men, as your piece would have us believe.
