“You might not be able to see on the video”…why make it then? One of the worst instructional videos I’ve ever seen. Looking for help installing the hex lite quiver. This was absolutely zero help. How are you even making instructional videos?

Noticed last video was 1yr ago so I'm thinking these are aimed at beginners/novices just up my street you really have taken time out to explain every thing in a clear understandable way which you don't come across with the other tubers.The photography of tiring in the peep sight was so cool and explaining as you went,made my tiring of my peep sight go very well as I have no bow press, also I've had a few guys look at my whippings of peep sight and asked if I could whip theirs , well like to say thank you very much for making the videos From Frank in uk

Great job clear !!! Clear a precise. I just bought a used CB from the pawnshop, it’s a $350 bow when new without sights and such .. The only thing is that I see to be an issue is the minus peephole and I think I’d do better with one. I wanted to say thank you for this video ..I feel confident that I could do this ..I could use the barrel off a guitar string lol .. I guarantee it would work and 40-60lb test braid in green.

Wouldn't it be easier to just paper tune? You could center your arrow with your string and your pin as well like you showed in this video, but it doesn't mean your bow would be tuned.

You actually don't need a bow press....I used Allen wrench and put it in the cam as I pulled the bow back slowly only a couple inches to hold the cam open...lmao

I have noticed that with my right hand compound bows, that my sight pins align along the left side of the string when eyeballing with a nocked arrow at brace. I believe this is due to normal cam lean as tension increases on the cables at full draw. Bows that have both cables on the cable guide side of the cams (thus torqued and leaning the most) are effected the most. Bows that have quad track systems that mitigate cam lean such as Mathews cross centric cams and PSE Evolve cams are effected less and the pins are more centered and partially hidden by the string but still favoring the left (on right handed bows).
@drmitofit2673
@drmitofit2673 Жыл бұрын
I use a similar method, but because the top cam is generally torqued by the cables more than the lower cam, the string alignment with the top and bottom of the riser at brace may be different. I prefer to line up the arrow with the string bisecting the grip at brace. I often have to shim the cams to achieve this alignment condition. This results in mitigating or eliminating after-shot wobble and hand shock since the arrow is driving through the center axis of the bow and grip.

Thanks for the reply. Yes this was a simple video and the whole purpose of this series is to show there is nothing mystical about setting up your bow. If you look at the other videos I do show how to adjust your center shot using the very same rest. I could have made one video showing the entire set-up but no one would watch it. There has to be step by step short videos so that people will watch. Not everyone needs to know how to install a V-Con rest but some people do. That is why I made this video. To help everyone that needs help. I hope you watched the other videos and they helped you with any questions you were looking for. Thanks again for watching.

No adjustment required for Bear Compound bows?
@teamcajunbowfishing3298

What I mean is that the adjustments are pretty close for most all Bear bows. You will have to fine tune it a bit but not by much.

@@teamcajunbowfishing3298 I looked at my bow and my arrow covers the two burger button holes identically to yours. Every time I watch your video I'll get my bow out and bore sight my strings and sight. You take the mystery out of compound bows. I value that! My V-Max whisker biscuit arrives in today. Again, thanks for posting your videos. Separate question. I purchased some arrows with nocks glued in. How do you remove the nocks without damaging them? I have a spine indexer and want to mark the stiff side of the shaft. Can't do that if I can't turn the nock.
@teamcajunbowfishing3298
@teamcajunbowfishing3298 2 жыл бұрын
@@TomOnTheRun You really can't save glue on nocks. You will just have to install new ones when you make the arrows the way you want. Side note: you really don't need to determine the stiff side of the shaft. While that is not a bad thing to do, unless you are shooting wood it really isn't necessary. I don't know your skill level but I shoot a lot. I would not be able to tell the difference between the stiff side and the soft side of the spine. But you do you! Being confident in your equipment is 80% of being a good shot. No matter how good it is and how expensive it is, if you're not confident in the equipment then you will shoot poorly.

@@teamcajunbowfishing3298 i was hoping they made a rain fly for a quiver but they don't. So i bought a dish cover kinda like a shower cap to keep in my bag if it rains. Because i read someone cooked there electronics in there hex quiver.
@teamcajunbowfishing3298
@teamcajunbowfishing3298 2 жыл бұрын
@@fishingwithhoffman7365 I contacted Bear archery to get the official word on this. Here is the reply I received: I haven't seen hex light short out, but if it gets submerged in water completely it can get water inside the lights. Normally it just makes it so you can't turn it off until it dries out. I know they did change it recently and there is a membrane over the buttons which should help. So as I suspected through my use of this quiver, the 1st Gen model should be good in normal rainy hunting conditions. It appears that they have addressed any water issues in the newer models. This quiver will not be recommended for your spear fish setup. 😄 Hope this help your confidence in this quiver.
