I doubt I'll ever know who you were. You weren't human; of that much I can be sure, judging by the too-large furniture and doorways, the strange dials and buttons. I can't read your language, but you made things simple enough to intuit. Was red a camouflage color to your eyes, or did you somehow know that the scouts couldn't see it? How did you hook this strange capsule to the underside of the rock face, and how in God's name did you manage to string a power cable from a node half a mile away to it? How did the patrols never catch you as you did so? Are you still alive? How did you wind up here? Where did you go? Why did you leave? You might not have been human, but I would have cherished your company anyway. After nearly a year of living alone in your discarded, damaged shelter, the loneliness gnaws at me. Even if we never could have understood each other, I would have relished being near another living thing, having someone at my back to watch for the approach of the constructs. You were obviously intelligent; we could have worked something out. I owe you my life. For more than three hundred days I've sheltered here, comfortable enough despite the broken window and jammed hatchway. I've imagined what would happen if you ever returned- a snarling confrontation? A hearty greeting? I'd welcome either at this point. It's foolish of me, but I've drawn a few arrows on the ground along any likely approach paths, just in case you ever needed to find your way back home. Until then, this humble tenant will keep the place tidy, as best as I can.

At first, exploring outside the gate seemed like a fun idea. Even if the adults said not to, the beautiful green moss and trees outside were just too tempting. As you stepped down the stairs, however, there was a thud behind you - the gate shut behind you. Four feet of steel-reinforced concrete now stood between you and your only home. There was no way to open it from the outside. You spent hours looking, feeling every crack and edge in the concrete. Nothing worked. And as night grew closer and closer, so did the odd sounds in the forest. Hope turned to panic, which quickly faded to a heavy, crippling dread. As the last of the sun's light began to fade behind the trees, all you could do... ... was wait.

Outside our walls is a brilliant, everlasting forest... but other than the trees, we are the only life on this world, now.

What would be really cool is if you could make a sort of “story track”… blending about 2-3 minutes of various pieces of music you’ve made into one long piece, with each one slowly fading into another. It would create such an amazing atmosphere, and I think me and many others would love to see something like that!

I imagen a version of the world. Where hybrids, the mutants who are mix between mammal animals and human, now are the dominants of the land while "normal" humans are few. Small story introduction. A human had been walking alone for months now and was close to a train station when a train arrives. To make a scouting of the zone. The hybrids where a wolf like and lynx like. They see the human and capture him. They were shocked to find a normal human out here and bring him to their train. The interrogate him. And he, emotionless answers them all he their questions. Which will define his fate.

My grandpa rode the rails as a teenager in the 1930s depression. Usually made money from bare knuckle fights, but he got into lumberjacking and commercial fishing later on. Any other jobs, he usually punched out his boss.
