Have you tried opening a support ticket with TradingView yet they would be able to potentially tell you why there was a delay. We don’t have much or any insight onto things on the TradingView side

@@TradersPost 1st let me say that since I am using 30 min bar even 1 min delay is “OK”. I just like to know all the factors and variations in advance so I know what I am dealing with. From following another channel regarding pinescript, it looks as if even up to 60sec is “normal”. BTW just yesterday I had an algo EXIT event. This time the delay was 6 sec

Interesting. I never see delays that long. It’s always less than a second. I’m running strategies on daily chart and 78m chart on TQQQ, SQQQ, etc. I would still open a ticket with TradingView to have them look at the logs.

I had “repainting” inconsistent trading when my strategy used also additional tickets as part of the script. The solution was to look one bar back for all the other tickers beside the one on the chart. I was using bar closed and 30 min bar length

The webhook I am sending the include bar close time, and TV real time. It allow me to measure the TV webhook delay. When using 30 min bar, the variation is very big starting from several sec to almost one minute (seen longer as well). So now the question - what is TV bar size of 1,5 sec worth with such long execution delays?

John w - to measure T.V delay, I added to JSON the time_close and timenow as two JSON fields. I tested it on BTCUSD demo using 5sec bar. I got 21 sec delay between bar close and when hook was sent to you. You processed it in 1 sec later. So why TV is so in accurate on time

Try it on something like SPY and a higher timeframe. It is probably something about BTCUSD and the exchange you chose for the alert. I never get those kinds of delays on SPY, QQQ, etc.

It’s not possible at the moment unfortunately. Not without you doing the math in pinescript and then passing the calculated price through to the JSON from your pinescript.
