Rotor loss? Let's not discuss the fact that the S series can't combine 25%+ corn well.

Is there an adjustment that can be made to make the rear latches on the deck connect easier? I have a 2022 1025R with the 54D Auto Connect and it's nearly impossible for me to get the rear hooks attached. I have to yank on the deck with all I got to pull it far enough back to get it to latch. It has never latched on its own when driving over it.

A JD 9600 is good for rice?

Yes..Just add stainless plates everywhere you can. Keep the concave new and watch that the clean outs don't get thin. Ours was like tin foil after 3000 hours.

What is the part # for the concave block off plate? Would running the small block off plates in the separator grates help even out the crop over the cleaning shoe? Thanks

I think you were backwards on your gap of the deck plates. Shouldnt it be wider closer to the gear box

I’m having a problem with our 612c today it’s wider towards the front and closer at the back and it shows with the stalks leaving more trash behind the combine in the outside row leaving strips through the field gonna try to adjust it tomorrow just don’t know how to yet

Still no explanation to why the grain loss monitor averages the chaffer loss with the rotor sensor. The rotor sensor is there to indicate to the operator to either change the rotor speed or to adjust concave clearance. It is not loss of grain out of the machine. Why does John Deere continue to display the chaffer sensors with the rotor sensor. They have done this since the inception of the sts , in the year 2000 , on a display monitor that was designed for the walker machines. It even has the walker icon pictured on the right hand side of the display. The John deere engineering department should have replaced the monitor to a display that separated the sensors totally. The operators first instinct, is to slow the ground speed of the separator, when they are presented with the centre bar graph rising above their preset allowance. In most cases (usually when getting colder towards evening) the rotor sensor will indicate a rise in activity, which should tell the operator to increase the aggressiveness of the threshing, to get more of the separation at the front of the rotor. Release of grain at the front of the rotor can also be achieved by removing filler plates or changing concaves to a more open type . I hope this helps.
