Glen might be the ONLY guitar legend who had a GREAT voice. I love Neil Young, but Glen had a voice like that blue-eyed boy from Ho-boke! You know the one! The Head Master! The Chairman! The King! The Kid! God bless the Earth and all the hearts that beat in it!

This song has stayed with this song. There is some controversy over the LINEMAN working in Houston. It's pretty bad and I'd thought to play it for all my friends on FB

Wow… this is definitely what I’d consider the best version (out of *MANY* different versions) I’ve ever heard of this beautiful song. A duet between the man who wrote and first recorded it, and the man who made it a massive hit. Perfect.

Derek and the domino's was actually Clapton going under a different name . The song was originally inspired by a piano piece written by jim gordon and Rita coleridge who were having a couple at the time . Unfortunately Rita never got credited for but gordon did . If you want to checkout more , check out Jim Gordon

Glenn did not know how to read music and yet played guitar and sang better than most vocalists who can read music.

@@reneleclerc6119 Those are mostly from hardcore Glen Campbell fans, who have knowledge about his career and his talents. To most people, Glen Campbell was an excellent singer who usually strummed chords on an acoustic guitar while he sang. Campbell himself occasionally played into this image, as he would sometimes throw his guitar behind his back after the first verse of a song, grab the microphone with his hands, and only sing for the second verse (such was the case when he played the song "Southern Nights" in concert.)
