To scale replicasets and deployments etc you should use kubectl scale: # Scale a replica set named 'foo' to 3 kubectl scale --replicas=3 rs/foo

In the 1st question your solution doesn't satisfy the bind at all. You need a key=value for StorageClassName even if its not defined instead of just deleting it from the yaml template. In this case the value would be double quotes ""

hello what is the difference between kubeadm upgrade apply ( user in case of controlplane) vs kubeadm upgrade node ( user in case of node01) ? why dident you use kubeadm upgrade plan ?

In my exam , they have asked to upgrade from version 1.28.0 to 1.29.0 but when I upgraded to 1.29.0-00 it says the upgrade version not found so i used "sudo apt-cache madison kubeadm" command from documentation and then carried out the upgrade with version 1.29.0-1.1. So is this step right and is my solution correct as there is not specific mention of version 1.29.0-00 or 1.29.0-1.1 or anyother to upgrade?

Thank's for this playlist. Instead of using telnet you can use curl <ip>:port or wget <ip>:port instead (it's installed on most exiting container images), it is not a best practice to install package on exiting Pods

In this question can't we taint the node kworker , I mean how we can find out whether to cordon the node or to add the taint in the node or to add the nodeName or nodeSelector option in pod definition file to schedule/unschedule the pods in a particular nodes. these topics are quite confusing

This was a really great video. I started dabling with this kinda stuff and it is really well explained. But i have an issue. I don't have access to my Certificate File. My SSL Certificates are handled by my domain provider ? Could you explain how i would set that up ? I would also be greatful if you could just tell me how this thing im trying to do is called. Hi, first of all, thank you for this great video, the questions shared and everything. Let me correct a few things about question 6 (deployment, pv and pvc). At 10:05 in the video, if you check, your pvc is bound to another persistent volume (created automatically) called pvc-bf5325ef-81... which is not the PV you created. To fix this in your killercoda k8s cluster, you must set in pv.yaml and pvc.yaml the storageClassName to " "(no defined) as asked in the question. spec: storageClassName: "" If you don't do this, what will happen is what you can see at 5:08 in the video, the pvc is automatically assigned to the "local-path" storageClass path.
