My D7500 is now up to 388,000 clicks now,, still running like the day it came out of the box. I used to worry about the shutter count, but now I don't think about it. I just pick up the camera and switch it on. In my seventies, fighting cancer, the D7500 will probably outlast me.

Brilliant thoughts. I love my black & white moody style of photography. Having been through the 'posting for likes' stage, I now take photos that please me!!. I don't give a rats arse who doesn't like my images, I do.

I'm so glad to return back and look at your YT channel here. Recently opened a yoga/art/aura photo studio and last week, pulled out my neglected Nikon D7100, (previously got some music microphones and recorder for my singing bowls.) I'm so grateful to see this video today, (maybe it is the second time, I am not sure.) Thank you.

Have one since release, magnificent camera. Only thing that’s itching me to upgrade is the size. The newer Z series is just a bit smaller and with my small hands fits a bit better.

I shoot with an old DSLR. If you understand the Exposure triangle, composition and photographing your subject. Please remember that photographer usually has to purchase two of everything. It is easy to get two dslr kit or two aps-c mirrorless kit rather than a full frame.

Good day to you Drew, I use the Canon 90d along with an abundance of lenses' I also own the lumix s5 with the sigma art 20 mil lens... For quality purposes I mainly use the 90d because of the higher pixel count and the colour Canon gives, I love the lumix but Canon is everything the lumix and sigma aren't... Love the Canon 55 to 250 stm, s amazing quality as demonstrated in one of your videos I watched... Anyhow hope your doing fine and still putting out your great content... Peace from the uk dude...

My first 25 years of playing , I played on 1 Les Paul and 1 Marshall amp. The excitement of finding the "perfect guitar" or "prefect amp" causes the dopamine release. I once had 35 guitars, 100 pedals, and 10 amps. Now I am down to a more reasonable 15 guitars and 5 amps and continue to thin the herd.

Hi from UK… thanks for the F801 insight, just bought one on eBay UK… waiting for delivery in the next couple of days and can’t wait to start working with film. Can I ask… can the F801 be linked up to a studio flash???? Wondered if it’s possible? Thanks… Rich, UK

No, I just mess about with it until I like it. About the only thing I consistently do with interiors is shoot with a slightly colder color temp so the shadows become unnaturally blue - ish. I really have no idea what I'm doing, but thank you for your kind comment.

Incredible useful video, thanks! I use a 135mm f/1.8 for dogs (Sony's version has a quite fast autofocus). Is a prime also useful for horses or should I rather go for the 70-200?
@loneshootr
@loneshootr 4 ай бұрын
a fast 70-200 is a really great all round worker, although a good fast 135 is perfect if space allows. I used an EF 100mm f2 a lot with horse portraits to good effect.

Mate, I've just found your channel and I'm starting to get into the world of professional equine photography. I set out to focus on dogs and people but being a horse owner the equine stuff comes naturally. I use older gear and personally hate all the new mirrorless offerings. If your images are good they're good and I really enjoy the content. It's also quite refreshing to see someone using the older gear in a professional capacity on youtube rather than just seeing people use A7iv's and Canon R5's. Keep uploading, I think you'll do well. Gained a new sub from me today for sure. Also a fair point to make is that if the cameras were good when they came out, they still are. The cameras didn't get worse, new cameras got better. That's not the same thing.
