The best takeaway for me was that my device does not have an issue, but it simply lags sometimes, like when you attempted to show how you can keep scrolling on the current page. Great video. Thank you!
@bentsprockettech19 күн бұрын
Very observant of you. I am learning that the way you flick the page is important as well as trying to make gestures with the marker too close. The device has palm rejection so that when you are using it you do not inadvertently gesture. Most of what you see in the video was caused by me rushing to show you all the features. Now that I've been using it for a bit I don't see the lag the way it is in the video.

Ive been researching this product. The best thing about it is that it's Linux based and hackable. You can drastically improve customization and usability with your own splash screens and custom templates. This can replace just about any style notebook you can think of. Pretty awesome.

@bentsprockettech24 күн бұрын
You can read well with it. The only thing is that it's not directly connected to a service like the Kindle. I use it to read PDFs and ebooks and it is very clear and easy to read from. The reMarkable can open ePubs and PDFs directly.

hi can i use 340kv motors instead and a servo to carry 3 kg payload with this?
@bentsprockettech26 күн бұрын
You should be able to. The link below shows a motor that is a 340kv having a capacity of 1.5kg with 7" 6.2 pitch props. The current config of the quad puts us around 2.25kg. That should give you enough headroom. Are you trying to get more stability and stamina out of the drone? If so, that is a direction to go. If you want snappier movements you would need to increase your kv, but that also decreases your payload cap. On the servo, if you are planning to drop your payload, be careful as that can get you into some possible trouble with the authorities depending on where you are. There are extra channels in this setup so you can attach more actuators and servos as with the gymbal and use the mix on your radio or QGC to route the channels. Hope that helps. :)

Of course. If someone asks, I always try to get it in a video. One of the reasons I like to use paper notebooks is the fact that there are no distractions and it's a tactile experience. Maybe like working with 2 dimensional clay. This device solves the problem of saving the work in a digital form and makes it quick and easy.

In order to connect your drone to your computer, you will need software and a telemetry radio. I recommend QGroundControl. If you're in the US you will need a 900mHz radio, 433mHz in EU. Check the following links for examples. qgroundcontrol.com/downloads/ www.getfpv.com/holybro-sik-telemetry-radio-v3-500mw-915mhz-2pcs.html?DM+-+NB+-+PMax+-+Shop+-+SM+-+ALL+%7C+Full+Funnel&campaign_id=17881616054&network=x&device=c&gc_id=17881616054&gad_source=1&gclid=Cj0KCQjw5cOwBhCiARIsAJ5njuaT4v-IJAFfS6iyODVM179PZKPUnhhItO_FfVKtF6Xx_nLo3sw31eAaAuotEALw_wcB I hope that helps.

Any chance you can record a video showing the screen share in real time. Specifically, I’d like to see how it looks on the laptop while you write on the remarkable screen. I’m curious what someone would see if I use it at a meeting. Does it look laggy or janky for example.
@bentsprockettechАй бұрын
I'll try to get a suplemental video on that in a day or two. When you are in your meeting app of choice, what happens is it creates a screen that can be selected within the app. There is no discernible lag that I've noticed.
@joeynumbers33Ай бұрын
@@bentsprockettech thank you for responding. I’ll be adding notifications so I can see it. A few questions if you can answer in your video, it would be great. 1. Do you need a paid subscription to screen share? 2. Is it possible to cast your screen to your TV? Maybe through AirPlay? 3. Can you use screen share without installing software, via a web app? Thanks very much. I really like your channel, searching for ink tablets got me to your page. They are an interesting niche technology.

1. I don't think you need the subscription for screen share, just WiFi. 2. Not sure about the AirPlay. I do cast to my TV using the laptop app via the TV's native app through WiFi. That works well. 3. You will need the reMarkable app running on your laptop to use screen share. The synced screen is accessed through the laptop app. The web app that uses the USB tether is only for managing the files on the tablet through a web browser style interface.

Just got mine last month and have been using it exclusively vs the 3 or 4 notebooks. You’ll uncover many neat tricks. Ie. if you choose the selection tool, you can copy, resize or rotate the images. If you draw a line without lifting the pen off the tablet, it will auto straighten the line. If you draw using different pens, use the layering tool. It’s so cool to add layers and not worry about deleting sections. Hope you enjoy it!

Thank you. Yes. I feel like the Kindle may have been designed in part after their reader. Which is not bad, but I feel like the functionality of the reMarkable is more towards note taking. After using it for a bit, the reMarkable is not a strong reader in that sense, definitely good for taking notes though.

my tf card came with the ender 3 i ordered on amazona and it worked the first day but now the tf card wont go inside the slot.
@bentsprockettech2 ай бұрын
:o There's a little spring loaded part that moves into the ramped notch on the side of your micro SD card. It's part of the mechanism that retains the card when you push it in that first time and releases it when you push again. On cheaper card slots (or even more expensive ones) this spring or other part of the mechanism can get dislodged causing the card either not to stay in or not to even be able to be inserted. This can happen sometimes if the card is inserted upside-down and push in with too much pressure. Not saying that's what happend sometime the card slot can be defective and it gives up the ghost early. If it's bad enough you might be able to spot this by looking ta the edge of the card slot from the outside.

just a nit in case anyone is confused. The switch you talk about at 14:08 is just a laser on/off switch. The "current" label is for the milliamp meter above the switch. Nice job on the fan ducting.
@bentsprockettech4 ай бұрын
LOL True, this is confusing. I said current because I am constantly doing the wattage calculation since the tube is rated in watts. I have a 110v system, but they come in other voltages. The switch actually goes to the enable input on the power supply and indirectly cuts the power output to the lasing tube. Thanks for pointing that out.

@bentsprockettech4 ай бұрын
The truth is, this thing has a kabillion mounting holes on it. Unfortunately, they don't match up to anything I recognize. They're not 20 x 20, 30 x 30, or any of those. The slots are on 47mm centers and the holes are an octagonal 63mm diameter. Hope that helps. I'll be touching on it in a later video where I install the flight controller.

I've been posting videos for over a decade and each year I feel I have a good plan, only to be humbled again. Audio was the biggest obstacle, and even today I feel like a rookie. You can go down a rabbit hole experimenting with different options. In the end, simple fundamentals beat complicated tools. Room echo is a serious problem indoors, you need to get the mic really close to your mouth. I found dynamic mics have a better sound profile indoors than shotgun mics, but outdoors the shotgun sounds more natural.
