If you are a drummer, how the fook, did you miss to say ANYTHING about his juggle with the sticks and playing two sticks in one hand? TWICE in the video. And still, you edited the video.
@Kjelleros8 сағат бұрын
Cool edit tho - but come on.
@JohnG_YT7 сағат бұрын
I guess I just did miss that. I remember him pulling a stick out of his pants,but even for a drummer there is just way too much stuff happening at once, lol.
@desireoverpain4 сағат бұрын
I'm a drummer and I'll still be surprised by people catching things in reactions that I missed. There's a ton going on in these songs.
@ryanhart87408 сағат бұрын
You missed that he used 2 drumsticks with one hand, in a section 2 times in the song, it happens so fast that he’s taking the other stick from his holster by his waist… You can see he has them in place at the beginning of the video and grabs one each time before he plays that fast right hand section that comes in the song, that’s why he’s holding further up the stick… 😃😃😂😂

As a rock guitarist, this may have been the first Poppy song I was exposed to (3yrs ago I think?)and it really caught my attention. Not many modern rock songs do that to me I must say... I can name a handful ... "The Light" by Disturbed and Volbeat's "Goodbye Forever" and "Seal the Deal" would be tops. I very much enjoy diversity, genre bending and tension building in songs and as I went down that road listening to Poppy's other songs, I can say I am very impressed and she fits nicely within my tastes. Her music imparts an emotional response and the lyrical prose meshes well with the accompanying music she and her team puts to the songs. And then when I saw her Grammy performance of "Eat" I was blown away. So, I must say some of Poppy's albums now grace my music collection; so that's an indication that she gets an A+ grade from this metal head 👍

Any drummer would easily see that he has 2 snare drums. No floor tom.

Okay, that would be the deepest sounding snare, like, ever 😅

Hola amigo!

Check something unusual 3 years ago, his drum cover of Lindsey Stirling Underground is the name.Then, you will see the potential and actually the start of his glory.This was coment from SS Samus and I believe from there he jump very fast to 1 milion subscribers. Today he reached almost 4 million. Obviously is not just good drummer....

That "off-time" snare hit in the verse has been messing with my head since the album came out. Damn shame Quadra was Sepultura's last album. I really enjoyed the more proggy touches of the last few albums. Yeah, yeah I know everything after Max isn't "real Sepultura" but I don't care.

@@JohnG_YT Eloy studied under some legendary Brazilian drummers and he likes to incorporate a lot of stuff from Brazilian and other latin rhythms into his drumming. You should check at least Sepultura's Quadra album, lots of great drumming in that one. Gonna be interesting what he comes up with for Slipknot. Different drumming style there for sure, but with a pair of percussionists to aid, that's a hell of a rhythm section to get some batucada going.

Her finger typing is gigantic, if I saw it correctly she even does it with 4 fingers. Many say she is talented, anyone who plays something like that cleanly and without mistakes is more than talented, that's what you call a professional.
