Dumb question but does the composition of the paint have anything to do with the "glowing gold", or was it all technique??

Ever since I was a child, I wanted to see this painting because it was so large and it was by a master. I am so grateful that we have the Internet now, so we can do virtual tours. I’m 63 now and with the chaos around the world I’m pretty sure I won’t be able to see it in person but that’s OK. I’ve seen a lot of interesting things in my life.

I was a docent for a traveling show of early Christian art from Romania where he had a painting of Ester. I would sit in front of it many times amazed at her gold dress.

Unpopular opinion: even of a painting is destroyed i dont think we should reatore it. Once we touch it, its pointless. Its Rembrandt (ft. Restoration team)

See I've seen people talking about how Tangled was originally made to resemble Rembrandt paintings, but they changed directions because it was looking to dull. I feel like the final movie, despite barely looking like Rembrandt, feels more like it because of the bright gold, and I suspect whoever was pushing that original design draft didn't get....... Like the whole point of Rembrandt.

Honestly it is a part of my culture's history. Agree with that history or not. What right do people think they have to damage the legacy of others? some deluded sense of justice? an eye for an eye principle?
