@EvanSazanides2 күн бұрын
that was extraordinary! Big bravo! Would you share some insight about the logic behind the arrangement? I can tell that the moog is being played live, what about the effects/bassline and post? I know that may be a big topic, with all respect, I'm asking purely to be inspired by your methods concerning composition/impro. I'd appreciate any answer regardless! Thank you for sharing your art 🙏

Do you write all of your pieces on a Korg Minilogue?
@RemixSample3 күн бұрын
This one was written using software synths like The Legend, Zebra 2. Here's a playlist with all my Minilogue tracks: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/b56Rn5t4yNvJnX0.html

Is this mother32 only? Or additional filters attached?
@RemixSample3 күн бұрын
I created the strings using Omnisphere and played the Moog Mother 32 on top of that.
@andersborum92674 күн бұрын
Sounds awesome. At 4:10, is it just the high decay value on the bass drone (top 32) that keeps the sound alive? I was under the impression that the 32 couldn't provide such long decays (its the kind of sounds I would use the 32 for as well).
@RemixSample4 күн бұрын
Yes. You can flip the VCA switch on the M32 and the gate will stay open for as long as you like. Valhalla Massive helps too but as long as the VCA switch in in the right position the note will sustain forever.
@andersborum92674 күн бұрын
What a nice track and such a lush sound. What effects are you running the 32 through?
@RemixSample4 күн бұрын
Thank you! The effects used on M32: Tiny bit of distortion (decapitator), reverb (valhalla shimmer) and a bit of flanger (fruity flangus)

Can you do this with 1 mother32 only?
@RemixSample6 күн бұрын
Only if you did what I did and recorded separated tracks that I mixed together like this. More info in the video description. Here's what you can do with two Mother 32's live: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qtCne9qHp727nZ8.html

@RemixSample11 күн бұрын
Thank you! Yes, I'm using the M32 for playing an arp as well as the lead over a backing track loop-thingy I made. I made a playlist with my Moog Mother 64 videos where I only use them as the sound source if you are curious what that sounds like: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/qtCne9qHp727nZ8.html

Sounds absolutely beautiful. What did you use with the Minilogue? is there any post production at all?
@RemixSample10 күн бұрын
Thank you! I made a backing track pad by stretching out a short musical loop I made using some soft synths (probably The Legend and Omnisphere). I use Paul's Extreme Sound Stretch to turn that loop into a pad. On the minilogue I used some delay and Valhalla Shimmer.
@TC-lk2ev12 күн бұрын
Fuck yeah. That's so nice. Is it doing the bass and the arp at the same time?
@RemixSample12 күн бұрын
Thanks! No, the Mother 32 is monophonic is I can only play one thing at a time. In this video it's alternating between playing the arp and the lead. I used The Legend soft synth for the bass.

Love this one, still coming back to it! What was the background drone made from before being stretched out? Such a rich sound.

I don't remember exactly but probably one choir patch from Omnisphere and a bass and chord from The Legend Vst.
