I'm guessing the new fan motor fixed it, and the outdoor board is fine! Can you please make more defrost videos on this Daikin, and maybe the Hitachi as well? These two units must heat and cool the entire house!

@@bradroesler7072 new fan fixed the issue. It’s never cold enough for the unit to frost up where I live last year it defrosted 3 times in total and they are the first times I have ever seen it frost up. We also never use the Hitachi in heat it’s mainly for cooling as the room it’s in stays warm all year round. The Daikin heats the whole house no issues and both will cool it if it’s not too hot.

New fan is in and it’s not looking good. Even more broken than before. I’m going to take a closer look tomorrow and see if anything obvious is wrong

Error Code E7: If the remote control display of the appliance shows this error, the system has detected a problem with the DC motor. of the fan. Make sure the motor is clean and the air is flowing properly. Also check that the internal control board is intact or replace it. Maybe this can be helpful...

So sad. I'll never replace such a high quality air conditioner with a MHI or a Panasonic even If it had a fatal error like this. If my Daikin FTXF35A did this I'll spend all my money just for the motor itself. DAIKIN is way better than other a/c brands.

@@AirConditioner4ever yeah 😕 i have 3 older Daikins a FTXS60FVMA, FTXS60GVMA and a FTXS25EVMA none of them have ever had a fault they are really reliable air conditioners. the air conditioner in this video is a FTXD60BVMA which is one of the the more reliable ones compared to the JVEA units which had a horrible outdoor inverter design that let air into it and turning the board into a corroded shorted out mess. the FTXD60BVMA in this video is apparently from around 2004 which makes it 20 years old now if the unit was to be replaced this could be one of the contributing factors if it wasn't to be repaired i like the choice of replacing it with a Panasonic but personally wouldn't buy a MHI i think i would rather a Daikin or a Mitsubishi electric than an MHI unit but this isnt my air condtioner thow so not my decision

This just happened last night without warning. It’s has thrown a e7 fault which it has never done before. It has previously thrown a few U4 errors but has always started working again. The outdoor fan isn’t coming on with the compressor so that seems to be the issue

Yeah sometimes they just throw an E7 error when the fan motor gets old. ur unit has a service monitor panel under the electrical cover on the outdoor unit try pressing the forced operation switch (SW1) and see what it does if u feel comfortable taking the cover off You said this unit had inverter issues so it’s highly likely thats the issue also

_At higher speeds above mid speed that's when it sounds brutal. I really hate that sound of that particular motor. There's the GW series which don't have that motor which sound so much more healthier than this machine._
