Yesterday i came to the conclusion that if i were not in the world, it would go on just as it is without me. Ha! Sounds simple, but being someone who has carried the weight of some sort of responsibility for everything other beings have chosen for their own lives or suffered through, it is profound. Now i look around at a world that is free to do as it chooses, its beings free to experience what life has for them in the way they know how. I now have space to focus on myself as this autonomous being, help where i may and let go where i can't, and allow the universe to turn as it will. It always has, and it was only my perception that anything otherwise was happening. Well said, and well said Kierkegaard.

Were i to choose where i go when i pass into the etheric realms, this would be the place. At night, you would be able to see constellations unknown in their full glory. Faefolk of light would be guides along whatever path you walked, so that you may always see where you are headed. The songs of the elves, some joyous, some urging as this one, would echo through the archways eternally, as i lived a new life devoid of want or need.

I had a dream last night, myself walking in the garb of my ancestors. I am both Cherokee and Swedish, and in the dream i was wearing an amalgam of my two tribes. I was crippled from some old skirmish, a scar angled across my face that had left me blind. I fully felt the shame of being useless to my tribe, and the humility that comes from being so disabled. Life had beaten all pride out of me. When i woke, i was new again. that humility is still with me, and i realized that pride was what had been holding me back in my practice. Humility has not been present for some time. First and foremost, our approach to any craft should be that of the pupil; being nothing, knowing nothing, for if we think we already know everything, there will be nothing to learn, as knowledge will hide itself from us.
