In my opinion, Ravi was a very skilled speaker and thinker who represented The true Gospel of Jesus, but only in his "Public Life" but sadly, not at all in his "Private Life." On this question of "Is Mormonism a Cult?" in this video, I discern that he very skillfully "danced around the issue and its answer," as Jesus and The Apostle Paul, and each of the other Apostles would NOT have done. Joseph Smith was a False Prophet, as was Brigham Young, as well as both men and many of their male followers were polygamists, and they establish "a full-blown Christian Cult!" Of course Ravi did not answer this question with integrity because he wanted "to be loved and accepted by The Mormon Community," and he wanted to continue to be invited to speak at their Forums and other events. As has been revealed, especially after his death, is that Ravi lacked personal moral integrity, and as I've shown here, he also lacked "Theological and Philosophical Integrity." Galatians 1:6-10. Mormons do not preach The same Gospel of Jesus that He preached and is found in a regular non-edited Bible, and Mormons definitely don't worship the same Jesus, as the God-Man who is also presented in The New Testament. The Book of Mormon, The Pearl of Great Price, and the book entitled "Doctrines and Covenants" all comprise "A False Gospel," and are totally guilty of severe "Apostasy." Get as far away from this "Cult" and its poisonous false doctrines and dogmas as you can! One part of the bible that I love is how history shows it true and I try and read up on all knew discoveries. I was elated to study the dead sea scrolls found in Qumran which showed beyond any doubt that the old testament had not been corrupted as 1 Nephi chapter 13 said: "the loss of many plain and precious parts of the bible" had occurred. This is why Nephi said there was the need for "the restoration of the gospel, the coming forth of latter-day scripture". 1 Nephi 13: 26 says "after .. the twelve apostles of the Lamb, ... the formation of that great and abominable church, ... for behold, they have taken away from the gospel of the lamb many parts which are plain and most precious". The notes at the bottom say Nephi made this prophesy between 600 and 592 B.C. Then 1 Nephi 13:30 says: "because of these things which are taken away out of the gospel ... Satan hath great power over them". Then, 1 Nephi 14:3 says because of this "the devil... lead away the souls of men down to hell". But the dead sea scrolls proved this prophecy is false as the scrolls found in cave 1 show that the old testament we have is not corrupted like Nephi said. And the other caves have proven this also with more books of the old testament. Jesus said he was the "word" of God and was one with the Father (not a previous humanoid) as a false prophet would say. If you haven't watched Ravi's message at the Mormon temple, watch and listen close. He never presents the gospel in a clear way to them. Showing all in attendance and all who were listening by some other means that Mormonism is not a Christian religion nor does it present the true Jesus. He has always, always tip toed around any religion like Mormonism, catholicism, false teachers like Kenneth Copeland, Benny Hinn, Joyce Myers whom he said to her that she is one of the greatest Bible teachers of our time. To me, his definition of a cult describes traditional Christianity, which is nearer to a stage play where all the actors read from scripts. Everything to them....God, authority, and salvation, is in the script/ures. Scriptures are what they know. But they don't know God. They are believers in their own press or understandings, self serving laws unto themselves. Ask them about Mormonism, and they will quote scriptures to put it away. Ask for their testimony and it will sound scriptural. They might even quote scripture as a testimony. Ask them how they know their testimony is true, and they will refer to scripture. They know scripture, but they don't know God. It's as if to them, there is no God but scratchings on paper. You can literally beg them to pray to God to know whether or not the Church of Jesus Christ LDS is true. And they won't because it might offend the scriptures. LOL It's insane. And that's the cult. I don't profess to know the truth but what I can't understand is the concept of eternal torture for finite sins and disbelief. I can't reconcile that with a God who's omniscient, omnipotent, omnipresent, and omnibenevolent. I've heard people attempt to explain it but their answers weren't sufficient for me.
