@ 5:05 Pretty fuckin' smooth stick work there Bro! This is IMO THE toughest Peart drum work there is! It is WILD! It's all over the place, but You KILLED IT! **Bravo!**

VERY impressive Mark. I had the good fortune to meet Mr. Peart not once, but twice; pre and post show in 1988. However, I cannot help but ask, are the Simmons drum sounds included in the Strike Pro kit (which is what I think you are playing here), or did you add these after?
@ElementalMark
@ElementalMark 7 ай бұрын
Thanks for watching! The drum sounds are part of the Strike Pro module and can be manipulated within it, although I'm not sure it's actually labeled as Simmons.

great cover, just finding you.a few questions, what's the far pedal to the left of the high hat? how does it give the china type a totally different sound? and how's the response of these drums, especially the cymbals? they seem a litte wooden. looking through your channel next for red lenses :)

Spot on brilliant. Showing us the progression too, of that near impossible tom/bass/floor roll in the beginning, so appreciated; somehow, you broke that thing down and perfected it. I've been at the stage where you were in the beginning, for enough weeks that I've given up and moved on! Great job sir...

Are you able to remove the clicking of the metronome, or bypass to an earpiece/headset? I want to add drums to a live guitar set, but don't want the audience to hear the clicking of the metronome, thanks for your video and in depth review!!

To the best of my knowledge, the first SPD-S doesn't have a stand-alone click for performing. If my memory serves me correctly (because I now use the SPD-SX Pro), the click was only accessible in the 'phrase maker' tool for the purpose of putting samples together in time. To do what you're referring to, you would need the SPD-SX unit or the newer SPD- SX Pro. They allow you to perform the samples to a click in your headphones, while sending only the samples to the front-of-house speakers.

nearly flawless. which is saying a lot considering that iirc geddy himself declared neil's playing on this song basically the epitome of limb independence. it got sloppy a few times during the outro imo (just sharing well-intended constructive feedback), not that anyone i know can apporximate the overall level of play you demonstrated on this.
