I didn’t even include the model of GE dryer when I googled removing the lint guard but your video came up, and it’s the exact same dryer as mine! Yay, interweb! I’ve had this thing less than a year and tonight it started drying poorly. Crazy because I am the only person using it, and I average about 5 loads of laundry a month, and it’s already gunked up. I can see so much stuff down in there… wouldn’t it have been great if they made the opening wide enough for the shop vac nozzle to reach into it? Thanks so much for the video, I will tackle this project tomorrow (fingers crossed that it will have enough heat to dry one last load tonight).

Hi all. It's July 2024. I'm trying to find the most economical way of replacing the wiper blades both now and in the future. I'm hoping someone on this thread can point me to REFILLS for the wet wiper system. The spray pattern is awesome. Currently seeing full wiper replacements for $50-$100. A little rubber or silicone refill makes way more sense. Question: what would cause water to condense in the vent hose? I just took apart my whirlpool dryer (front and back) to clean out all the lint. I cleaned out the vent hose and the vent to the outside. some of the lint trapped in the vent hose was wet (not just damp, but you could wring water from it). I rinsed it out, cleaned it thoroughly and hung it up to dry. Then I reattached it to the dryer and the outside vent and ran the empty dryer on high for an hour and an no heat tumble for 30 minutes, alternating that 3 times. It then sat overnight. I thought it would be bone dry the next day, but when I uncoupled it from the dryer, there was about 1/2-1 cup of water in the hose and dripping out of the dryer vent in the back. This was an empty dryer!! What on earth caused this??? Is it just latent humidity from the air it's sucking in? Is there a way to prevent this? If it's happening regularly, no wonder my dryer gets stopped up so frequently.
@wetlifesports13 күн бұрын
You have a slinky hose? Get a hard wall and make it as short as possible. Yes, sounds like your condensing up the vertical lenght and it sweats back down and collects. If your lint trap is plugged behind the screen your air flow might be restricted and contributing. Gl

Per Chris Burch: You only want to rotate the levers down as much as necessary to comfortably use the controls while standing. The lower you drop the levers, the less palm engagement you get on the bars. So the lower the levers, the more likely your hand could slip off the grips during a hard compression, like an obstacle or g-out.

Good points. I took a Ryan Young trials course and he too educated me on why the controls should be more like you said and I have since adopted that as well. Thx.

Mine is hard to move. Like it needs to be forced. I will be checking today to see if the cable needs a lil lube or whatever.
@crunkwun22 күн бұрын
Tip: when you're removing the lugs use a impact wrench while it's jacked up. They'll pop right off. You wonna know why it's so hard to get off? Because they're lug bolts not lug nuts. All that weight is forced into that side of the bolt and trying to remove it is near impossible.
@wetlifesports22 күн бұрын
Good point. If I had one. What about changing on the road? Bring impact wrench? You have a battery one or air?
@crunkwun22 күн бұрын
I just did a brake job on a 2016 mercedes sprinter and replaced front and rear brakes. Lug bolts came off easily with it jacked up. Most stupid European vehicles have lug bolts. Try taking the lugs off a bmw.. same thing until you jack it up then all that weight on those bolts are gone and can pop right off with an impact wrench.

@wetlifesports if you don't have an impact wrench you could probably try jacking it up just enough until the wheel is nearly off the ground. As long as the wheel grips the ground but enough where most of the weight is off those lug bolts so you can use your lug wrench. It should make it a lot easier.

Not sure if this was exactly what I was looking for but still a pretty informative video! My situation is something that was caught in the tray fell down in that center spot (and not the side thing that you showed after the unscrewing and messing with wires), and theres a lot of it down there now and I want to get rid of it. I was thinking maybe a thin stick vacuum but I doubt I can find something thin enough to reach there so thats a no go unfortunately. Pretty sure this is my exact same model too. Maybe you should learn how to use a gps. I have a Zumo xt2 and think it’s great. I use it for adventure riding. If the road or trail is not in the gps database then it cannot navigate if it doesn’t think there is a road or trail. Get additional maps such as backcountry maps or trail maps. You can also create a route from a track, ride the trail the first time to save your track and save it as a future route. Learn to navigate and use a gps!
@wetlifesportsАй бұрын
Yes, its pretty good. Still I think it needs vast improvement. I didn't like it adjusting my plotted route without telling me. I think it needs a quick button to get you back home or to the start of the recorded route. The fastest route back at the end of the day or in an emergency. I don't want to use 5 other mapping software systems. I paid 600, I want it to do the job better. Some folks don't mind spending crazy numbers of hours making it work.. I'm not that person. I want to ride, not become a software engineer just to use a gps. It has too many critical settings burried too deep that have to constantly be flipped back and fourth or your going to get misdirected unknowingly. Yes, it has good stuff but it could be much better. I've have some experience with this stuff. Been using these system in Boats, cars, airplanes, etc.,since they came on the market. Boat nav stuff for years is so horrible I see tons of boaters barely bother to use it. Just try to update the clock on some of them and your in for a half day...Much of this stuff is way too over complicated and unintuitive. IMO these engineers or designers don't work with enough non engineer users to make it a better more intuitive tool. Just MO. Its good you like it.
