Hiya, what operating system are you using ? when I flashed from my Mac it recognised it straight away but from my Windows laptop I had to install a driver for the USB in order to recognise it.. the other thing is to try a different USB C cable, some only support charging and not data

Hi mate, do you know how many GB of storage is taken up by the IOS on the new M4 pro, not sure to get the 256 or 512 ?
@techtonictimАй бұрын
Hi matey, version 17.5.1 which is the one on mine takes up 11.71Gb then it says a further 6.67Gb are used for system data.. I'd think in reality the 256Gb would give you ample as my iPad mini is only 64Gb and it's never been a real issue. Keep in mind you can add really fast storage via USB C for things like editing now. Use case comes in to it but my choice would otherwise be 256Gb plus Apple Pencil Pro and that would be about £70 less than the 512Gb.. you could get a good, fast 1TB NVMe drive and housing for around that. Hope that helps, Tim 👍

Enjoyed the video thank you! Some other reviews say that the Nano-Texture screen makes reading text (like e-books) a little grainy and not as crisp as the regular screen. What are your thoughts?
@techtonictimАй бұрын
Hi Steve, it’s an interesting one.. I definitely prefer the screen with the coating and it is more comfortable on the eyes however the texture does ‘feel’ like it’s a little less crisp but I can’t decide if that is down to the near zero reflection or not. I’ve taken closeup pics and it’s still super sharp, if anything it seems sharper than the glossy screen on the M1 iPad Pro.. I think it’s an optical illusion.. bottom line is I’d recommend it if you regularly use it in bright conditions.. I don’t use it for this but it would be perfect if you used it as a teleprompter for example. Cheers, Tim

The latest revision of the i4 model does have USB-C, whereby the older revision prior to around May 2023 uses micro USB. You cannot tell by looking at the box. Some US resellers on Amazon and eBay still sell old stock with the older revision, so be aware of that, if the charging port matters to you.

Hi Chris, you can freely download the latest version of Windows from microsoft using their media creation tool and then create an installation USB stick (or DVD) then use that to install windows 10. It will run indefinitely but you won't have a licence so will get a prompt from time to time in the bottom right of the desktop. You can of course go and buy a licence online (amazon / ebay etc) at any point in the future and there's pretty much always some great offers on those.. or even transfer a licence from an old defunct machne. @andrewd49063 жыл бұрын
Compared to a chromebook there is a lack of ports however compared to a tablet then one is pretty much the standard. My duet is the 128GB model so I don't see storage becoming an issue. My only wish would be for something to keep it closed for transport when the back and keyboard are attached (other than an elastic band).
@techtonictim3 жыл бұрын
Agreed, a 2nd port would make quite a difference.. i’ve paired mine with a couple different usb c port adapters and it’s really useful but just more clutter to clump around. I have the 64Gb version and it’s still plenty enough for my needs. Yes, the elastic band has been a must have since day one 😄👍
