Exactly the same in a Kia Soul ev. Thanks for the video. I found the last guy to top up the fluid didn't tighten the filler cap and that may have contributed to the loss of fluid in my case.

There is a recall on this issue.

On a cold car, not used for 4 hours, When i slowly twist the cap off, the fluid goes from low level to coming out of the reservoir (the fluid is under pressure). Also there is a warning on reservoir not to use your hand but use a technician with tool symbol. How to ADD fluid when the reservoir is completely full and spilling out when cap is removed? Getting a low fluid warning and level is just at low level and more needs to be added to be closer to full. Thankyou! MikeO

FYI this is a recall. The inverter coolant can leak into the CPU and cause the car to stall. I've taken mine to the dealership twice for this recall. I am still having the light come on daily. I have a 2020 niro ev with 80k miles

I just picked up a gallon bottle of inverter coolant from the Kia dealership. It costs $81 plus tax.

Interesting, thanks for posting this. We have an e-Niro here in France, one of the first batch to come into the country in March 2019. Currently on 83,000 km (51,000 miles). The coolant fluid in ours is a different colour to yours, dark green. Never had the low coolant light come on but it's good to know you can buy the stuff and just top it up yourself. I notice you still have the original 12v battery, mine died after 3 years, just couldn't maintain 12v so I replaced it with a higher Ah Bosch. My dealer in Niort do seem to know what they're doing as EVs are selling well here. The only problems I've had were a wing mirror that refused to fold in when locking the car which was replaced under warranty, though they took a few months to get around to it. The other problem was a strange 'clonk' when turning the wheels to the left....given that I'm a Brit and my French isn't fluent I thought I would have trouble explaining the problem to the dealer and not getting taken seriously. Thanks for the tip Boss. Just got that error message about 2 months ago. My Kia dealership have no clue and couldn’t buy a vowel on what to do. They want to keep my car for a few weeks to take care of this. I checked the coolant level that you showed in your video and my inverter fluid is low. Thank you thank you. I’ll go pick up the fluid at Kia and do it myself. Appreciate you for this.
